I Saw You: V.2.0

Re: really? reallyyy?

Dat *** doe....

130km/h is considered insanely fast? You need to get out of the city more where the average vehicle is moving at 125km/h - 130km/h.

Re: really? reallyyy?

130 is actually a pretty normal speed for the 401.

I lent a coworker my Drift camera and got it back with vids of him doing 245 cutting through traffic. Now that I would say is a little more crazy.

Re: really? reallyyy?

Oh I have no issues with speeding, I speed myself but when I'm doing 130 on the highway on my bike I'm also in full gear if I go down I have a chance these riders had no chance they'd be a skid mark on the road. No 130 isn't considered that fast but it will be if you're the squid who goes down.

It's ok. They were probably 20 somethings. They know better and will be just fine if they crash. It's worth it. They crave attention. Wait til they crash. They'll get attention. Especially the girls who think they're all that. Look at 100 lb me on a 150 hp ss.... but hey my tank top matches my high heels

at 130 the gear won't do much against impact. Sooo what were you doing on the left lane? - over an over again people come in here bitching about others riding when they are most likely the ones contributing to the situation.

"some guy was aggressive and made me go 110 on the passing lane by tailgating me" well, get the **** off the passing lane!

Where downtown and when? I live downtown and ride a black grom.

ah yes, isnt that how most accidents happen.. when you're in a hurry. I try not to be in a rush because I know what happens.. ;-)funny thing was that I saw a scooter do something similar this morning.. and no one cared... becuase she was slow and slid past the traffic and pedestrians quietly.. no one seemed to care. Anyway, back on track with this thread... Spotted a Honda Grom downtown - they look like fun.

Re: really? reallyyy?

No actually I keep up with traffic I was in the left lane passing cars actually there was a car in front of me also that I was trying to get to move over so I could keep passing. I didn't even have a chance to move over right to let them pass as the first opening that came up I would have hit them if I had of moved over. They were already around me and passing everyone on the right in and out of the middle and right hand lanes oh and the really experienced girls at the back thought it would be great to pass all in separate lanes. It's easy to get around traffic without weaving in and out like idiots you just have to be experienced enough to know how. I know someone who went down at 170 and had all his gear on. He's still alive and riding today.

Re: really? reallyyy?

I pass people in the middle lane all the time... Since there are no rules here in Canada that you cannot pass on the right and there are plenty of people who cruise on the fast lane thinking they are "fast" enough... I just pass when there is a chance when I need to pass. I have given up on try to get people to move over. If I am not in a rush i just follow, but if i am in a rush, I am going to pass whoever and accept the risk and consequences that may come along with it. With that said, 401 going westbound heading into sauga is insanely fast... 140ish was my cruising speed with corollas passing me...

Nice.. but the one I spotted was red one parked near Queen St West.

Riding along St. Clair (eastbound) saw a dude on what appeared to be a Royal Enfield... funny part was seeing him again on the way back on St.Clair (westbound)

I gave him the peace sign going eastbound, while he just nodded his head.

When we met again going westbound, he gave me the peace sign back.

KTM something on Kingston rd.. goto love how supermoto guys dangle their legs on corners eh?

Passing to right of vehicle - 150.

(1) The driver of a motor vehicle may overtake and pass to the right of another vehicle only where the movement can be made in safety and,

(a) the vehicle overtaken is making or about to make a left turn or its driver has signalled his or her intention to make a left turn;

(b) is made on a highway with unobstructed pavement of sufficient width for two or more lines of vehicles in each direction; or

(c) is made on a highway designated for the use of one-way traffic only. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 150 (1).

As soon as you turn 30 your a better rider and far more aware of consequences.

I've seen and talked more idiots in their 30's than I can count. I especially like the ones that think they can ride because their older with more mileage under their belts.

Re: really? reallyyy?

Really? I'm glad I don't know the 30 somethings you do then. There's exceptions to every rule and all but I would say the majority of older riders actually are aware of the consequences of being stupid. That foesnt mean all of them are better riders or make better decisions. I don't think insurance is higher for younger people because they make great decisions as a whole though.

Look at the brilliance in places like stl. All the gangsta mad stuntaz in no gear showin the world how hard they is. The majority of them are not "in their 30s".

I have more concern for the ones that are dressed like that and perched on the back of some guy's bike - at least on your own bike you know whether its being driven by an a**hole or not :)

You will never convince the young they are not invincible - just hope that the gods that look after fools are watching after them until they are old enough to know better - I have some memories that make we thankful they were looking after me in my younger days.
