I Saw You: V.2.0

Pft, who needs a kickstand puck? I just put my bike on the center-stand if I"ll be gone for awhile.

I inadvertently parked my 250 on a cold-rolled asphalt patch in 30+C last year. On the centre stand (no kick) and it tipped about 15 minutes later.

Sorry but the dude that just posted a whole bunch of pictures with the plates showing can you please fix them. Especially the one of the hot chick. There are stalker types on this forum and that was a really stupid move. Mods can u please take that one down. Don't want the wrong people looking up where she lives through the info on her plate.

+1 .. I would not want to see my plate on this forum or any other page on the net, I take care of ensure my plates or others are part of the pics unless avoidable.

Weight has nothing to do with it.

Correct!

Just to clarify/add something, those 'sensors' have no moving parts. There's a loop of metal/wire that runs in the road that senses the magnetic signature of a vehicle on the spot. Some of them are tuned enough that they pick up motorbikes, but man, it sucks when they don't.

How can you find someone through their plate? Is this something that can actually be done or just remembered from 30 years ago?

A few possibilities, though by no means an exhaustive list:

- A friend in law enforcement
- A friend at MOT
- A title search
- if the plate was ever mentioned online

Can anyone find me ?

Makes the foot on your kickstand bigger so it doesn't sink through the pavement. Normally about 3"x3".

Or if like me the back half of your office is a warehouse/machine shop and the supervisor also rides, get a scrap of 1/4" steel plate. Tucks nicely into the under-seat storage with the toolkit, no welding required.

I'd be more interested in telling you that your rear subframe looks tweaked.

Actually, it's only the chain guard/tire hugger that is offset, which gives the illusion. That pic was from the "Got rear-ended 2.0". The bike has been checked thoroughly after, and found to bare only cosmetic damages.

Lilsushi covered in tats, this lady not so much...lol

A coworker said you could find it out by going on MTO page for sticker renewal, when I put your plate in it says: "
  • ERR088(100878718228): MTO is unable to proceed with your request. Plate is not registered to a vehicle. Please enter another plate number and try again or visit your nearest ServiceOntario, Driver and Vehicle Licence Issuing Office."

You might want to look into why your plate isn't registered to a vehicle :p

Weight has actually quite a bit to do with it. At least it does in Toronto when the lights are on sensors.

No, amount of ferrous metal in the vehicle has quite a bit to do with it. Weight has nothing to do with it. Large cruisers tend to have less trouble with light sensor loops because they tend to be lower to the ground and have steel frames, where sportbikes carry their weight higher and are predominantly aluminum alloys. Light sensors use a large loop of wire, embedded in the pavement, which is part a something called a "tank circuit" that is used to generate a frequency. Presence of ferrous metal alters the frequency that is generated, which is compared to a base frequency by a device called a phase locked loop, the difference between which generates a small DC voltage. When this voltage rises to a certain value an electronic relay is tripped, which triggers the light.

My ER-6n triggers the sensor at the end of my street without any trouble, when my heavier VFR800 always had a problem. The difference? Steel frame.

So don't believe the snake oil salesmen.
