I Saw You: V.2.0

In fact MTO once sent me a response to my question about why motorcycles weren't permitted to use 400 series HOV lanes, that stated they would be glad to help me find a passenger to share my commute, so that I could use them.

Pic or it didn't happen.

Awesome ?

Nothing outrageous from their letter, IMO, and they did say they are monitoring the situation; How/whether they are is another question.

Can't see what's wrong with providing you a link to carpooling info? In case you you wanted to share your bike, or hop into a car instead (Don't know which is more unlikely haha)

Spotted today near St. Clair and Scarlet around 430. Gold SS bike (think it was a GSXR) with a guy with a girl on the back. Both squid. Turn signals apparently removed from the bike. Rear tire flat. Cut off 2 cars and a transport truck in a span of about 2 minutes.

Got another one. Yorkdale Mall around 945. 3-4 guys on SS bikes. One 2 up. Passed me and the car in front of me, on the right, while we were turning right. Both of us signaling so it was obviously not a good time to split. First biker grazed the car in front of me, wobbled a little, and rode away. Could've sworn you were going to dump it so good job keeping it up but that was not a good decision.

Saw a sport bike parked on the left shoulder of the 401 west express lane about half hour ago. No rider in sight or I would've stopped. Guessing you ran out of gas?

Apparently there was also a red bike crashed near Dufferin and Finch. Emergency crews were on scene. My mother saw it and immediately called me because it was near my house. Hope rider is ok.

In case it isn't clear:

The HOV lanes on the 400 seies highways do not permit motorcycles when ridden solo. (From what I understand they are the only HOV lanes in the world where this is true!)

Where marked accordingly, HOV lanes in the City of Toronto (not on 400 series highways) allow motorcycles when ridden solo.

..Tom

I've seen OPP bikes riding in it.

CBR 600/100 Repsol and Ninja 250 in red parked side by side at a church ? Earlier this week On Hwy 8 in Stoney Creek

Yea bike was on it`s side couldn't tell what bike it was. Car in the middle of intersection not sure what happened. Rider had his helmet off but was lying on his side and emergency crews were already there loading him up on a stretcher. Looked to be in pain but hopefully nothing too serious. On the bright side he was wearing his gear from what i saw.

8AM this morning westbound 401 express @ Kennedy, White GSXR with Blue decal on the shoulder, OPP behind the bike tow truck in front, no sight of rider. Hope your ok.

Nothing wrong with it if you're into cookie-cutter responses that take no individual thought. I've seen almost exactly the same letter, as received by a half dozen other people.

I don't know about you but I wouldn't throw some random stranger on the back of my bike, just for the privilege of using the HOV lanes. That's bloody dangerous.

saw the same thing but without opp. maybe opp left before i got there. bike was being hooked on the tow truck.

Saw a group of 6 old farts on Harleys riding westbound on 401 around 6:30PM. You guys suck at riding in a group. Never seen anything like it.

Holding the left lane in rush hour... Not riding in a staggered formation... Keeping a distance of 3 cars between some of the riders... One of the guys had part of his bike crossing to the middle lane... And you should definitely find a leader who won't leave everyone behind.

Sure is better than this

In the Beaches on my way home, caught going north on woodbine and ended up following you till Main and Kingston where the wife snapped a pic at the lights. Couldn't tell if it was a 848 or 1x98 but completely redone including the shorty side exhaust which sound awesome. Couldn't tell which swingarm you were running but looked aftermarket with a super wide rear tire.
