I Saw You: V.2.0

So lane splitting affects you? A flip plate affects you? Maybe its him being latino like the poster mentioned, which shouldnt have even been pointed out.
Too many people worrying about other peoples business... unless he doing something that actually affects the well being of others, then leave the peeps alone!
lol this is even funnier

It is NOT you're job however to police them because you ride "safe".

Absolutely! It's not our job to "police" people.
People who try blocking lane splitters with their vehicles, and try slowing down speeders by getting in their way should be charged.

....but as citizens we have the right to report unlawful behavior. If you don't like it, buy a flip-plate and join the tools.

Well yesterday the qew was moving at about 20 or 30kph and I watched about 6 cars jam up to block a dump truck from changing lanes in front of them. I slowed up, opened a hole and waved him over. 1 rep point restored. You're all welcome.

lol..awesome! I'll spend the rest of the season assuming I can cut off dump trucks now :D Thanks! (and for the daft.. ;) )

It's not in the end about policing..I don't think I'd ever call the cops on any of the space cadets on 2 wheels I've seen, but the thing about "perception of minorities" stigmata can affect a rider. So at the least we can vent. Maybe we need a new thread altogether entitled "I saw you..and so did Darwin"

What someone else does on a bike doesn't give me a 'bad rep'. And **** it, even if it did you can't go around policing everyone. You do you and let me do me.

I never said you couldn't do what you want to do. Nor do I have any intention of policing you but you do have to keep in mind, cagers don't distinguish between bikes and bikers. If you wanna be an idiot and put your life at risk along with others, go right ahead. If you want to piss off cagers so the next bike they see, they take out their aggression on them, go right ahead. But just know that by being a tool, you aren't doing the rest of us any favours.

I think you might be putting a bit too much stock in how much those riders would alter people perception of you. If I see a couple squid doing something stupid while you are in gear waiting your turn with everyone else I'm going to think "look at those idiots riding like a**hats while this guy sits in traffic sweating his nuts off".

I was cut off by a civic on the 400 this morning. I didn't immediately blame the other civic beside me. Anyone unstable enough to take a run at you for something someone else did is unstable enough to do it without provocation.

Um, you're actually wrong, but I'm not going to argue with you. I have personal experience where the way someone else rode was reflected onto me. Two bikes were seen speeding. I wasn't with them. Yet they grouped me in with them and I'm now paying the price for it. But thanks for your opinion. People do hold grudges against bikes, regardless of what you're doing.

Exactly! ^^

I was riding with a friend and we were stopped at a light when 2 SS bikes went flying through the green light at a very high rate of speed and they were very very loud. I'm pretty sure one hit the rev limiter.

Our light turned green we made a left in the same direction Perdosa and Rossi were going. 2 Mins later we got pulled over. Someone reported 2 bikes racing.

Luckily the 2nd cop that arrived was cool and he knew bikes. He recognized we weren't the same bikes that were racing and were released.

What you do and how you act can have negative repercussions....so don't be a d-bag.

+1

Exactly my point.

Can we all get along - See what you caused Jay

by the way tools are very useful

So.. umm ya..
To the rider on the se ninja 300 outside Hillcrest mall: I like how you took the decals off the side panels. Looks nice just black.

It's amazing that people still don't realize the extent of bad **** that can happen to them by inciting road rage like cutting off lane splitters for no gain of their own. We need more of these Tim Bosma type cases to show people not to **** with people they don't know. It'll take a few more people getting executed to teach the public a lesson in minding their own business.

I've read about so many cases of road rage gone wrong where people follow you, cut you off.. get out of their car and end your life -yet people STILL think it's worth it to get the short-satisfaction to cut people off. These ******** who pull in front of you for lane splitting need to be made an example of and taught a very serious lesson.

What if the person driving the civic who cut you off was an asian female? Admit it, you would have some prejudice against certain type of drivers, maybe not so much on what car they drive, but their background, etc. That's how stereotypes exists. And as much as you can say "how other people ride does not reflect how I ride blah blah blah" in reality it does.

On another note, the other day I was at a red light in the middle lane, on the left tire track and a car pulls right NEXT to me in my lane. I looked back (it was an asian female btw) glared at her, gave her a hand gesture that said "wtf are you doing!" She couldn't make eye contact with me. The cagers on the right and left lane also gave her a dirty look shaking their heads. When the light turned green I sped ahead and stayed in the middle of the lane this time so she wouldn't cut me off in my own lane. Now whenever I see asian female drivers, I stay the hell away from them.

There's also the enforcement angle. The actions of a small group of riders and, in particular those of a single rider, screwed over every rider on a particular local road for a year or more.

Us Asians make fun of them too.

Hell, I refuse to sit as a passenger if my mother is driving. I would rather walk! Rolling stops, going below speed limit, blocking left lane, hesitation constantly.

KLJ@#$(*&SDFLKJ#@Q(*& THINKING ABOUT IT MAKES ME RAGE!

Hopefully you will report the wrong person one day.

I do not blame some riders who lane split when the vehicles in front of them in the left lane is either traveling slower with feets of gap from car ahead of them.
