I Saw You: V.2.0

In the rain yesterday evening only saw BMWs out... K1300s, GS1200 and a K1200s.

I guess the guys with shaft drives don't mind the rain.

Oh, I did see a ninja 250 in the morning though.

This morning around 8am St Clair and Christie a blue R6, rider wearing a fur jacket. Pretty chilly morning.

did the rider look like this?

Or ABS. That's my primary concern in the rain.

True, very true. I've slid a few times due to loss of traction when braking hard in the wet.

Got nothing to do with Shaft drive.. I ride in the rain all the time and rode yesterday. I was riding home in snow though!

No question ABS add a huge level of confidence in the rain and I love it on my 2012 V-Strom, but my 2006 V-Strom didn't have it and I rode in the rain all the time.

I said east, but should have said westbound.

Then it was me. Splitting, no. Filtering, yes..but then again you know I'm an advocate. You know in crap weather like that, cagers never seem to be bothered by filtering.

See that big tanker truck that blocked the entire intersection at Bay and Lakeshore? I squeezed by that bugger too!

What were you riding? I should keep an eye out for you in the future.

While we're here....I'll give a shout out to the guy I saw on a red and black CBR1000RR / 600RR northbound at Yonge and Adelaide yesterday in the pouring rain and wearing a brown cotton hoody. I hope you had a short ride and didn't get soaked to your undies!

I was rather concerned about what the 3 inch deep puddles might have done to you, had you hydroplaned between cars.

I was in my car at the time. My bike is the ER-6n that's pictured in my avatar.

Wow you're lighting fast with your cam!

Haven't had an issue with hydro planing, oddly enough there are greater chances of it riding in wheel ruts than in between lanes at low speeds. I am having more issues with disintegrating roads, expanded tar snakes (into rift valleys), swollen bumps and new pot holes...and they tend to be random and located anywhere in the roadway.

PS the real danger are those smooth steel construction pit covers at (Bay, York, Yonge) and Front!!!! Gotta straighten up and get off the power and brakes when going over those things!

Anyways thanks for the advice and looking out.

Wet mode helps loads too.

I see that this has gone to a whole new level! You guys now take pictures of each other! :lmao:

Replay XD 1080. I wire them to the lighters in the car so I don't have to rely on the built in batteries' limited life, but I'll be buying the extra batter packs for use on the bike.

Nice camera, do you normally just leave them in the car permanently setup so you don't need to remove them (just curious about your setup).

As well, do you just have them to record the stupidity on the roads from the idiot cagers?

I don't leave anything of value in my car. I use a suction cup tripod mount on my back window and I have one of the double-sided tape mounts on my dashboard.

I primarily use them for self protection in case of collision, with the side benefit of recording idiocy:

Yeah, seen a few of your clips - I like when you add the Benny Hill theme to the vids, makes so much sense.
