Its funny that you are talking about how people should wear certain gear and so forth. It is a personal choice but the fact that you openly admit to doing 170km/hr on the 401 that's ridiculous. Not only is it against the law but you put yourself and others at risk for riding at that speed. You feel proud it seems to do 170 on a 250 ? What's there to be proud of really. Perhaps the other rider was laughing at your for trying to "race". Who exactly do you have to show off to? More importantly for the guy who talks about wearing safe gear, if a car changes lanes unexpectedly I wonder if your leather jacket will save your life when you crash into a solid object like a trunk at that speed.

Cant you just ride for the sake of riding as opposed to criticizing other riders? All the best in the future my friend. It's not about looking cool. So if not wearing a jacket that makes someone look like a proper rider isn't cool then is I guess speeding is.

The irony here is killing me. Mr. Safety on a 250 going 170 on the highway, lecturing a guy on a more powerful bike obeying the law.

Sorry e90 not trying to start anything or cause drama just want to bring to light how the situation sounds. Motorcycles don't kill people. The displacement doesn't kill people. The rider themselves is ultimately responsible as they are the ones twisting the throttle. It's important to get past the concept of "drama" and to merely acknowledge that all riders make a choice to wear the gear they wear and to ride the way they want to ride. Therefore, to take note of the fact that the lack of gear being discussed does not out weigh the speeding of another. Can't pass judgement on one when the ones passing judgement is also wrong. End of story can't be a hypocrite.

With that being said I do hope everyone stays safe this season.
 
Saw a bunch of riders in London today..

Green SE ninja 250 on Western road, early afternoon.
Black SE ninja 250 near white oaks mall, after dinner.
Black street triple (maybe?) downtown, 'round 7:30pm

n others i forget

edit: i was on a red 250, my friend on a black 250.

Ummm...why your panties in a bunch? Who the **** said anything about being proud? I'm laughing at my bike going full blast but still being so slow...

Who the **** said anything about trying to race? I was going straight in the far right he was 3 lanes over in the far left. Hell, like I said I was laughing at myself and I'm sure he was laughing at me too. He was on a 1000rr me on a 250r, you really think I'm trying to ****ing race??

What the **** makes you think I have someone to show off to?? It was in the afternoon the highway was dead empty and I was trying to get my *** to work on time.

Were you there to see if there were any cars in my immediate vicinity or are you just talking out your *** without knowing the circumstances?

No, the jacket probably won't save me, but that's where your ****ing brakes, being aware of your surroundings and experience come into play

You sound like a new guy, I've probaby been riding a lot longer and have a lot more seat time than you, keep you uninformed opinions to yourself.

thanks for posting all that. Now people can see the sequence events, and the fact that I can actually write out coherent sentences and paragraphs whereas you have a hard time with anything more than 3 words. Ignore button for you my friend. You're a waste of time.
