Which end? Past the general store, or close to Highway 10?

haha well i dont work at the same place anymore either
Well I hope not if you plan to keep getting speeding fines like that :lmao:
I just plan to not stop next time
...In regards to cold weather riding you guys need to get rid of bulky cotton sweaters and hoodies. Get some Under Armour Cold Gear. It a bit pricey but just find it on sale and you're good.
3 full sleeve Layers up top: Compression, Fitted then another thicker fitted top. Less bulk than a single light hoody..
2 leggings below: Thermals with a piss hole, Compression on top of that..
I'm good at 0 for up to a half hour on the highway 130-145 km/h. I was a sceptic but have come to love it!!
+1...The other guy posted at least you didn't run like the other group...
After I saw your fine amount I'm sure you wished you did.

The only real problem with thermal underwear is when you stop for lunch you overheat and if commuting then you spend a lot of time getting dressed and undressed. I ride until there will be snow on my roads. The coldest I have ridden in was -16 (one hour commute to work) but routinely ride in weather below 0.
I wear a suit and tie to work and normally commute on my bike so I have learned what works well to keep my warm.
My all-year riding gear is an Aerostich two piece riding suit. This is Goretex and waterproof so I don't need rain gear. It breathes well enough to be comfy in hot weather and using layers underneath makes it work well in the cold. Until this fall I didn't generally use electric gear. In cold weather I wear Aerostich Fleece pants over my street pants and under the riding suit. This is expensive but it has full length zippers on the outside of both legs so it goes on while wearing boots and without pulling up the legs of street pants. It also comes off easily as well.
I wear a synthetic undershirt and normal shirt. Before the heated jacket two layers of fleece under my riding suit was all it took to stay warm. Now with the heated Jacket (Tourmaster Synergy) I wear one layer over the heated jacket when it is freezing and find I use very little heat (this AM it was -1 when I left home and I just put the heat on the lowest setting.) The heated Jacket I now have means that I can be comfy but not overheat when stopped as I can turn the heat down or off.
..Tom
how much more slippery is it below 0 with a SS?? I've never had my 250 break contact due to the cold nor have any of my numerous crashes been in the winter...but I imagine with a 180 hp beast its a whole different story.
Hit black ice though and all bets are off.
