huh? where in his post does it say he/she was stalking that girl rider? his gf snapped a pic. maybe she saw her on the road??? hardly "stalking".

There's no reasonable expectation of privacy when you are in a public place, and pictures taken of you in such a place can be posted or published with relative impunity.

will police bother? they dont even bother catching bike thieves. and since the pic won't how her face cuz of helmet. if anything she prob likes her pics being posted since someone said she likes the attention. btw, it's still not "stalking". just saying. if she was being stalked, someone would actually have to follow her around.

Me? I would, most of them have pics on Facebook. None of my loved ones dress in a matter in which I would be embarrased to see pics of them.

If someone post said pics on a terrorist website with a message in the bottom that says kill them then I may have a problem with it.

if someone takes a pic of me or gf while we are riding and post the pic in here, why would i care?

Its not the matter of how you look/dress. The question im asking is if you are okay if someone jerkoff with too much time on their hands decides to take a picture of you or your love ones, with an agenda or malicious intent (either of which is not in your favor) to post on the forum he frequents whether /b/ or GTAM.

Facebook has features and preventative measures that ensures only the people you select can view your profile/pics. Its not the same as having your picture taken and put up on the internet without your knowledge.

Yes, Facebook has those features, but it's still the poster's choice to decide on breadth of distribution. The poster could throw the viewing gates wide open and there is nothing that the people in a given photo can do about it.

Also, the question is not if "you're" ok with it or not. The original question was if there are any legal protections that you can use to block publication of photos that were taken of you while you were out in a public place where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy. And the general answer to that is, "no".

Now depending on "how" the photos are used, you may have grounds for civil action. However, you would have a very high hurdle to overcome in trying to prove malicious or defamatory intent, and the simple defence to any such allegations would be that the publisher of the photo was simply making fair comment on whatever the photo was portraying.
