Hyundai hhd1250 1000w generator at Wal-Mart

CT - 4000w with wheels - $297 - 24 payments no interest for 12 months

I have had this generator for a couple years now and it works great. (I won it in a fishing derby) at the time it was around 600 bucks, if i recall

I think 300 bucks is a good deal

I brought it to my last track day so the kids could plug in their.... electronics.... lol

50% off this weekend for the 4000w generator at CT - Not going to find a better deal than that!
Could probably power at least 4 sets of warmers and has wheels and handle to make it easier to move around.

had one, lasted five race weekends and a few track days then died. Motor ran but no power. Would not recommend.

I've just spent 2 days at the track pitted 50ft away from 2 of these. Do us a favour. Turn the exhaust towards yourself.

i was just about to ask about the canadian tire ones and how loud they were ...

They, and their type, are probably the loudest at the track. I have a Honeywell inverter which is okay. My mate has a 3000w Honda which is quiet. And during the day, with bikes running, then the genny noise is swallowed up. But once the bikes go off around 5pm then you notice who has the loud gennys. And I'm 100% aware that not everyone can afford the best, most quiet Hondas. I know I can't. But if your genny is loud then please try to muffle the noise a bit and consider your neighbours. Just pointing the exhaust away from your pit area isn't the solution. We ended up having to put a rubbish bin in front of the one loud genny and it killed the noise by about 50%.

And I'm not suggesting R1Guy is a noise polluter either, or having a go. I don't know the guy and, to the best of my knowledge have never pitted by him.

i have an old stock exhaust pipe off an old bike, has anyone ever just put a pipe from the generator into the stock pipe to try to baffle the noise ?

Guys ... it's no loader than my CT 1300w generator that I have used for a year and a half now.
When I'm at the track I place my generator way out in the field and run an extension cord long enough, I can't stand the sound of generators!
With this placement I've never had anyone complain... I would never think to put that thing beside my pit or point it at anyone...
So back to my point... it's a good deal (50% off) it's on wheels (so you can park it further away from everyone), can power up to 3 sets of warmers thus eliminating 2 other generators and noise from the pit area.

I own the Hyundai HY1000si.

If it's for warmers don't bother - 1000W peak and 900W running.

Trips if both warmers cycle "on" at the same time - I use Bickle warmers.

Buyer beware

3 years at the track and I have heard some LOUD gennys, never seen anyone complain or any type of confrontation...People just complain about them on the net once safely inside their homes. LOL Loud music, partiers, pit bikes, big bikes etc. Peace and quiet is rare even after the track sessions are complete for the day : )

I have the HY2000si. It'll run my Woodcraft warmers plus my fan, compressor and anything else i need running.

I had some issues with it when it was new because some of them come with a crappy Torch spark plug in them. Swap that with an NGK and it starts 1000% better and runs very smoothly. It is a bit louder than a Honda/Yamaha but at 1/4 the price i can't complain.

I HAVE THE HY2000i IT WORK FINE WITH 2 PAIRS OF BICKLES. I HAVE IT RUNNING MINE AND MY BUDDIES WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. COLD STARTS ARE SOMETIMES A PAIN BUT OTHER THEN THAT ITS A GREAT GEN!! AND REALLY QUIET !!

Perhaps my old yoshimura slip-on would mount on my loud generator, it would still be loud, but hell it would sound cool. Just a thought.
