That's a surprise. Around the middle of last year, lots of travel health policies explicitly included covid coverage. The insurance companies revenue stream had dried up and once they had half an idea what the likelihood and cost for treatment was, they could easily price it into their policy the same as any other affliction.

True for Pacific Blue Cross:

Our Travel Insurance covers COVID-19 with your full vaccine: As BC's health benefits society, we want you to enjoy healthy travels. Our Travel Insurance provides coverage for infectious diseases that you have been fully vaccinated for prior to travel. Is it still about “ How often do you ride?” If yes, here is my part. For the last few months trying to ride 7 days a week. Last few years my average was about 30 000 km/year. (Suzuki V Stroms). Last year I broke my personal record with 40 000km. Put my new (to me) bike with 7000km on it on the road at the and of October and by the and of November I hit 12 000km. Started this year with this number and right now I got it up to over 31 000km. So it seems like 24 000km in 8 months or 19 000km this season so far.

the answer of course is going to be highly variable depending your situation in life
at age 16 - 20 it was daily, didn't have a car, 2 stroke nirvana

from mid 20's to 35, zero - did the Dad thing
after that the kiddos were teenagers, maybe once or twice a week

mid 40's, single, new bike...wa-hey! every day
mid 50's, fok work, 20 k per year

cage gets about 3,000 km year

Common set of events for lifetime riders, including me. My bikes get out every day that can get me to work dry from Apr to Nov.

When the boat is in the water, she gets the weekend love. Been on land for 2 seasons, so the bikes are seeing 200-1000km each weekend.
