How is your bikes fuel Economy?

My F800S gets about 4.4L/100km or 64 mpg imp. doing mixed riding. Best tank ever was 3.3l/100km following some cruisers up to Port Dover at 80-90 km/h which translates to 86 mpg imp.

How hard do you guys ride that you get such terrible mileage out of your 650R's?

Lets put it this way... I would have bought a ZX-6R if it weren't for the insurance.

I ride an 1100 Honda Shadow ACE Tourer (1998). I keep meticulous records and I speak English - meaning at my age, I still talk MILES PER GALLON (THAT's IMPERIAL GALLONS lol !!!!)
MPG=46.5 miles/gallon or for the internationales.. that would be about
16.3 kms/litre
I think for internationales it's more like litre/km, which in your case comes to 6l per 100km.

So Far riding within the speed limit...19kms/ltr is my average(95-100kms/hr). 230kms before fuel light comes on. If I crack the throttle I can get 4kms/ltr...lol. Over a week my screen says I average 16.5kms/ltr . Running a 400 series road In a tuck at 130kms/hr >18kms/ltr, Upright> 16.8kms/ltr
This is based according to what the bike states... it seems to be pretty accurate according to "fuel used" vs "pumped fuel" it within .1ltrs of each other..
08 CBR1000RR..
Oh forgot Oil used per 1000kms 700mil:lmao:

Last time I checked it was 5.5 to 7.5 L/100Km. Average would be around 6, since I would have to ride it above roadside-suspension-level speeds for sustained periods to get to 7.5. I don't care about it at all and don't keep any records. The only reason I checked that last time was because I was going on a ride with 381Km between gas stations :0

BTW, I do think Km/L is a more logical unit of measure, but it's even less commonly used than mpg. Stick to what most of the world is using - L/100Km.

2007 zx14

I average 7.7l per 100kms

36.7 MPG imperial, or 30.6 MPG US gallons

My DL650 has an average of 4.4L/100km over the last 3 seasons. Normally has side cases and a top case, which I can't see helping the fuel usage.

Wow! My DL650 is averaging 5.15L/100km! Mind you I ignored 6th gear until the stabilized fuel was all gone...

Not sure what I get but I know its not good with a 2300cc bike.
Of course I did not buy the bike for its fuel economy.

I'm getting 10L/100km. A gas pig!!! I'm not so worried of consumption but it's the low range that really sucks. 2010 RSV4

Just go with Statefarm and the insurance would actually be lower. You'd probably get better gas mileage on a ZX6-R than you're getting on that 650R. Even riding it hard though those are some of the worst economy readings I've seen for this bike.

Really depends on where I'm riding it, those numbers are commuting through downtown a lot, if I hop on the highway a bit between fill-ups, it's closer to 35MPG (6.7L/100km).

Also, 2 problems with statefarm, I have an at-fault claim on my driving record, and I'm only 24.
Paying $1400/yr for the 650 with Jevco, no collision.
