Historical day for Palestinians!

I prefer to boycott Israeli goods.

Do they even make anything other than (pretty good quality/design btw) guns/gun accessories?

Oddly enough some stuff i have bought from MEC came from Israel. I thought it was strange since i've never noticed anything as 'made in Israel' before.

Fruits and vegetables from settler communities (most groceries have some Israeli products). Keter plastic products (sheds from Costco and deck boxes etc). Soda Stream equipment. Some clothes (as Caboose points out). Expanding a little: Indigo/Chapters CEOs set up a charity to provide funding for people who travel to Israel and join the IDF to fight there (I haven't bought a book or magazine from Chapters for years). Starbucks seems to fund zionist goals too. Oddly enough Intel has a factory built on occupied land in Israel too.

Is there a better way to celebrate conquest and illegal occupation? :D I try to buy my food as local as possible, so Canada trumps US, US trumps South America, South America trumps other continents

Yikes, that's horrible.. Hoping for AMD to recommit to open source and produce something I'd wanna use in a modern configuration

When only 2 companies produce a product that's used by everyone and their grandmother and one of the companies is currently way behind the curve, principles sometimes have to take a back seat to practicalities. In any case, sometimes principles have to be weighed and in my case it's Intel's commitment to FLOSS that drives me to buy their products. I will be keeping an eye on AMD products in the future as they are beginning to catch up, just not there yet.

At the time I bought my computer I didn't realise Intel had the association it did....like most people I imagine. I'm glad you're helping publicise it now though. Thanks. Oh...and lol.

On a serious note...I'm guessing you're not old enough to remember what happened in South Africa which had quite a few similarities to what's going on in present day Israel. The boycott of South African goods was pretty widespread at that time. It wasn't the reason why things changed, but it did help bring the spotlight onto the problems so more people took notice.

I remember i picked up a product of theirs. I just put it back down. Dont wanna support conquistador ideas. Thanks for tipping me on the other org.

I suggest the palestinians relocate to another area. I can't see Israel stopping. If the palestinians are pinning their hopes on the UN or the International court it will be fleeting. When push comes to shove, The US will rally behind Isreal as they always do and the world will buckle.

Is that the Palestinian version of Google ?
OH WOW YOU'RE RIGHT!That must mean all that Israeli killing never happened and the whole point of this thread, the UN vote and pretty much the entire world that supports Palestine is invalid due to this spelling mistake lol Love when someones has to resort back to spelling errors as a counter aargiyumannt(left this one for you) lol

Relocate where? The Palestinians aren't claiming some obscure religious association with the land...they actually live(d) there. It's not like some guy born in Russia or in the Bronx claiming that they have a right to some land in the middle east because a bronze age series of fantasy writings by illiterate desert dwelling goatherders says so. What about the million or so palestinians who were banished from their homeland and are not allowed to return by Israel?

Might is not right........right is right.
