Didn't disobey, followed (albeit at speed) and paced, so that would mean no lights/sirens. He mentions that the guy didn't know he was there or a cop until he stepped out of the vehicle. You gotta read the WHOLE story.
This is not true, people really need to stop making "headline" statements just because they heard someone say it.

..and the police know what to look for. In some divisions, this will get the book thrown at you, in others, the modern day equivalent of the Cherry Beach Express (look it up, this still goes on).

I'm pretty sure it was last year I drove by the accident on 400 and Major Mac when the rider rammed into the back of an SUV running from the cops on the off ramp.

Meh if you got the 2 year training alone, you could come back and have lots of opportunities here and in US, including high paying security jobs. I didn't get to polygraph test, was disappointed.. but hey 2 years paid training in BC would be win. Cheap *** insurance compared to Ontario and so many nice imports.

The blanket statement largely applies to the 400 series. There are obviously exceptions to the rule and it goes back to my statement about having the stones and then having the skill. In somewhere like say I dunno, Whitby or Oshawa or Brooklin maybe someone could take their chances and be gone within a couple minutes. On the 401 especially in the Express lanes good luck with that in a no traffic situation.

But that has nothing to do with not been able to out run the radio
My point is what if you don't know you're being chased? Getting tagged by an unmarked car or by the YRP chopper isn't a stretch by any means nowadays.
I had a couple undercover cop cars creep up on me on 401 this summer. Good thing I wasn't flying. From then on I check my mirrors even more often than before.
