Here's one reason why people hate motorcyclists

Weird how some 'fashion' has made a comeback with the fabric and other junk (mohawks, ears, etc.) glued to helmets. Reminds me of the fuzzy stunt riders or whatever they were called, back in the '90s and early '00s, with bright furry fabric glued to their helmets and bikes. I'd shake my head and say, "Kids these days," but kids were doing this 30 years ago, too.

I saw a group of three of these kind of fuzzy headed riders on the QEW last weekend. They were being polite and riding staggered formation, so I didn't pay much mind until I clocked one of the three had a cardboard licence place that said 'I RUN' or something similar. The sheer brazenness of riding in traffic on a major highway on a busy weekend with such an obviously fake plate says a lot about how little enforcement there is and how little they fear it.

As for the video, as someone who thinks riding in a group bigger than about four qualifies as one of the seven circles of hell, I'm firmly of the belief that no good can come from that many motorcycles in one place. The possibility of stupid rises exponentially.

I don't get it... unless you're commuting, which these guys clearly are not, what is the attraction to riding in a city? 99% of the mileage on my bike was made outside of city limits.
We’ll never get it. Because we’re normal.

This is a ‘look at me’ mentality and there’s no way a normal rider / commuter could understand that mentality.

Same as I WANT to filter / use emergency lane in traffic. But I dont because I don’t want the HTA172 fines and I’ve got too much to lose running from the cops or losing my license.

Seems like it couldn't be that hard for the cops to nail some of these guys. They would have been working their way through stop and go traffic for miles.

Or a few choice cars just open their doors and block these f**ers in until the police come.

I think this could be the toronto squids or whatever that group refers to themselves. I think the name changed at some point recently. They have big numbers and ride like this so I was told by a regular. Was excited to tell me that they do wheelies for blocks along lakeshore!

I'm guilty of calling them squids too - I think that's unfair to squids, they have brains.
Maybe start calling them jellyfish, a species that has survived for millions of years with no discernable brain.

Well, what are you going to do? There must have been 80 - 100 of them in total, they looked peaceful enough. Jump out of your car and knock over one.........., see how peaceful they remain.

What type of person rides around with a rabbit head helmet or in full costume? Although, to a regular non rider full ATGATT gear might well look as odd as a rabbit suit does to us.

As to hating riders I'm reminded of my last ride on Northey's Bay Road a week ago. I was following a Tesla doing 50 - 60 and braking for every corner............ Tight section of the road, not easy or safe to pass, I was 2 car lengths behind them, they pulled over to let me by and I didn't get much love when I passed them, or maybe the guy driving was a multiple amputee and only had one finger.

I think one of them was from here and placing the GTAM tag somewhere in the city instead of North and East of the city. Who wants to ride in all that traffic. :ROFLMAO:

There is actually a group that goes by the name toronto squids or gta squids.

Yes, to some degree. They have numbers, and a complete disregard for the law and general public. Again, I am not sure if this is the same group but from what I was told it seems similar.
So.... organized crime? I bet they wish.

I wonder if the RCMP has infiltrated with undercover officers wearing stupid furry helmet covers and thinking FML.

In rome they do this all day every day. No one gets ****** off, no road rage...it's accepted by cagers. It was actually great to watch. Traffic moved well with no issues
