'Heartless' man remains out on bail

Come on up to Lake Drive between Dalton Road in Sutton and Roches Point at about 7-8pm after a summer weekend.
Theres 4 parks and beaches on that road,

And see the garbage thats left behind.
Unbelievable, theres no respect, diapers, water bottles BBQ ashes dumped on the park grounds, etc,
The township literally have tons of garbage to pick up.
And sorry to say, its 80% Asian Asian all having their big family picnics.
I don,t mind them being here for a swim and enjoy the picnic but please take your dirty diapers and other garbage home with you.

I'm not going to say where but on the lake I fish I can almost guarantee that I'm the only one that fishes with a license. This is obviously due to the lack of enforcement of the rules. Its at the point where the locals laughed at me as I renewed my tags at the local bait shop. My point is though that disrespect and lack of conservation for the environment comes from all races, its just you better be the right one to get away with it when it comes to some locals of these areas.

Then perhaps this cash strapped Provincial government should saddle up and start throwing out some infraction notices.

The MRN get funding taken away all the time hence less conservation officers. What do they think is going to happen. It might as well be on the honor system.

Complain. Loudly. Get anyone who will listen to do the same. Repeatedly.

Funny the MNR can ignore these instances where it's likely there is a high number of infractions, but once ice fishing hits, they are out there checking every one of us on the ice, and you almost never see them get someone for not having a license. They could go down, line these people up and have a big money day at the end of it.

It was like that 30 years ago when I lived there and it was Italians and Portugese. I still remember the day they installed the No Parking signs on my street across Metro Rd. from Willow Beach...

Probably because it an easier process to just park and take a stroll. Also it probably depends on the lake. I'm assuming were talking simcoe, because again on the same like I fish I've never seen an officer during thrice fishing season.

I was up fishing early last year..a fella up there was telling me an MNR officer harassed his 9 year old kid for fishing in the river because the season was only open for trout and there were no trout in the river..threatening to take the kid's rod etc. Good work MNR!

Nope, inner long point bay, where the huts are about 2km out from shore across the pressure crack, so not an easy walk... Would be easier to bust people on a public dock on a nice summer day.

If the river wasn't a temporary fish sanctuary, and the kid was going for something that was in season, the officer had no right.

The inner portion of long point bay is off limits for ANY type of fishing until bass season is open... But you know there are people that don't know about it and still go fishing.

I did not think that children under 16 needed a fishing licence? I may be wrong.
If the child was fishing the Talbot River (Lake Simcoe) then yes it is a sanctuary because of walleye spawning

No license needed until you're 18... But even before then, you are to follow the sport fishing laws.

It's not a fish sanctuary. The kid had no clue what he was fishing for..bobber and worm..killing time on a sunny warm day in April. I suppose it's not impossible that there are trout in that river..still, I'm sure the kid is looking for sunfish or perch and would be tossing them back. Is that the most MNR has to do with their day?? Like, seriously?

Jut imagine if the officer actually explained to the kids in a friendly way the whysand hows of how our conservation laws work. What's in the river they are fishing. Why it off limits at the time, and where they could go fish and maybe even a few tips. I think the kids would learn something and still be excited to fish. Threatening to take their rods away? What an *******. I'm sure that's going to help them build respect for the officers and what they are trying to help protect.
