And the HTA isn's LAW its an ACT, they are different. We have just been trained to think otherwise
wrong.

That's not it. They are beefing up traffic enforcement with OT officers. It's an excellent cash grab with the excuse of making us safer.
The eight-day campaign targets the leading causes of crashes that result in fatalities and serious injuries, including aggressive driving, impaired driving, distracted driving and seatbelt negligence.
Exactly.
Btw, anyone notice how speeding is not one of the leading causes of accidents?

Ahh... "aggressive driving". When I started the paragraph I wondered if they were going to claim that speeding is a major cause of accidents.

They should invent a new charge and call it "Passive Driving" or "DWOB" (driving without brain). This would be for drivers who pull stupid moves like merging onto the 401 doing 50 km/h and similar dumb moves.
Of course they will target speeding vs all the other crap people do to cause our roads to be unsafe. Why? Because it's the easiest infraction to catch! Think about it, if you speed, it's not usually for a second or two, it's a sustained event that easy for the police to nail you on, they can pace, radar, laser, or spot with a plane. Unsafe lane change - done in a second. Unsafe left turn, it's over in a heartbeat, and unless a cop has some ridiculous good fortune, they will never know about it unless they clobber somebody. Pick and choose where you speed, holiday weekend coming up, and you are hauling *** on a 4xx highway, expect issues.
of course its not, thats just illogical. Speed doesn't cause accidents, pulling out infront of traffic, slamming on the brakes (like assassin said about see a cop), etc..
Anyone who says this isn't a cash grab, just stop for a second and think about what they are doing during this blitz vs what that could/should be doing with OT staff on a long weekend.
On my commute home last night I was passed on the highway by an OPP cruiser doing an average of 150-160km/hr all the way from Milton to Kitchener.
I followed behind him (Behing another car aka speed dummy) doing 149km/hr the whole way home and everytime a car would move out of his way (As he would ride the cars *** in the fast lane till they moved) he would accelerate and start pulling away from us (About 160-170km/hr) and we would catch back up while he was waiting for the cars to move.
He was going no where important but still going fast enough were anyone else would get the HTA172 charge.
lol atleast he was clearing out the left lane for you guys.

they were testing their new baiting technique. They'll do the same thing this weekend while there's a spotting plane above you or other unmark cars ready to swoop onto any followers.
I've seen two TPL motorcyclessitting in traffic so WATCH OUT all you lane splitters! They can just as easilyfollow along now =S
