Has the city lost it's mind...

I do some work with the various school boards around the GTA and different grade schools. I always find the students at Catholic schools are generally better behaved and more respectful. I know a lot of people have mentioned they should get rid of the separate boards but there definitely is value to having them based on what I have experienced between the 2 systems. I will gladly choose to work with any Catholic school over a non Catholic school any time, because whatever they are doing is working for the students and everyone else connected to them.
I went to a Catholic school in grade 9 and public 10-12. In hindsight maybe the uniforms, etc. made it seem more orderly but I seen a lot more bullying, etc. at the catholic school. It seemed like the catholic kids had more to prove when they wanted to be seen as cool of bad@ss. I feel the same way about kids of cops.

I knew a Christian missionary and he commented that some of the "Christian" schools were worse than the secular. A lot of parents with troubled kids sent their brats to "Christian" schools, hoping the schools could fix the kid's problem. It just loaded the schools with druggies.

Violence leads to more violence. It was easy to find out where the principal lived, for example and then return the favour.
Back in the 60's when I was in school, not much violence when the strap was a possibility.
No strap now and a lot more violence in schools.:unsure:

Grade 10 was a cornucopia of Catholic girls wanting to prove how bad-ass they could be. Good times.

SIL worked for several low end private schools , not an Appleby College or UpperCanada 50k a year place . Guess where lots of kids end up when finally kicked out of the public system . Private school for a year till the suspension is over .

Collectively, it seems like many have figured out that they are invincible. Wrist slap at worst and records sealed.
IMO the young offenders act was to give a kid a break when he goofed without thinking.

These robberies are calculated so it’s premeditated and a different game. Who’s using these kids and their free card?

Does dad say “Hey junior, we need some money but if I steal it I get hit hard. If you steal it you only get a slap on the wrist but we still get the dough”

My place got broken into in 97. Young offenders. It was a gang with a "Fagan" driving around in a van dropping them off in targeted neighbourhoods.

Is a Fagan a puppetmaster or something?

Fagin was a character in a Dickens novel that ran a network of child pickpockets and thieves .

2 hit and runs, driving crazy, stealing gas, driving through a school playground while kids present, and police couldn't react in time...

I’m more concerned about the fker that took the time to video not go help that lady laying on the pavement. F you great citizen .

So you think it's a good idea for citizenry to confront what are clearly violent criminals? Sorry I'm not getting stabbed or shot for my own vehicle yet alone someone else's.

Agree. The key moment for me is just after the video we saw ends. Did they keep recording once the bad guys has left or did they stop and help the lady?
