I don't know...last time I played it was probably a decade+ ago =(

Ditto. I do group riding, but I do it with people I know in circumstances where there's expectations so far as how everyone rides.

I went on a charity ride 3 years ago for something that was (at the time) near and dear to our hearts. There was probably 300 or more bikes. It was my wife's first ever exposure to that sort of thing and I rode behind her as a blocker if it became necessary and we kept in touch on the intercom just in case I saw something about to happen she didn't see. Sure enough within the first 10 minutes there was several wheelies.. Then people standing on their seat hotdogging. And the usual "hands in the air look at me" smattering through the group. I explained to my wife that it only takes one of those people to go down at 90kph to potentially take out a ton of other innocent riders who are now tangled in the resulting wreck.

Now she understands why I avoid those sorts of rides.

Everyone here (at least the ones I know and are regulars) doesn't strike me as those sorts, but yeah, it only takes a few to potentially really ruin the experience overall for the others who just want to go have some safe non-hooligan fun.

I can't be the only one that would purposely go on these rides, take as close to sweeper as possible, and watch gongshows?

I'm totally doing it when I ride again lol
