GTAM likes and dislikes

Hmm. What happened to that guy? There was someone that used to be around all the time that was trying to push that front and got himself on the news a few times advocating for safety and visibility and I think organized a few rides to promote the cause. Part of me wants to say @shanekingsley but I don't think that's right.

I think you're thinking of this guy:

That's the guy thanks. He seems to be still active on some aspects but hasn't been to GTAM in five years.

I haven't given it much thought but sometimes I read a post and think "I'll try to remember that" and then have trouble finding the post again. Is it hard to add a "Save" to the options, like "Watch later" on YouTube. Maybe it's there and I'm not looking in the right place.

You can bookmark posts. Click the little banner at the top right by the post #. To see your bookmarks, click your username in the top banner and then bookmarks.

There's a small bookmark icon in the upper right hand corner of each post.

When you save it, you can find it again under your profile under "bookmarks":

i like all the advertising and censorship . it’s like I’m trying to shop while getting yelled at. I usually have to pay someone a lot for that treatment , here I get it for free,

I like the fact it's more of a community feel here versus places like Facebook where you may often never see the same person twice.

It reminds me a lot of the BBS era, for people who were into that scene back in the 80's and 90's and remember it.

Just wanna add to this.

It reminds me of older games like Final Fantasy XI, before the times where you'd hit a "Queue for play" button and get matched with 3-5 randoms that you'll never see again. You had to setup your own groups back then, and would develop a strong sense of comradery, mostly through joint suffering lol

The chances of bumping into the same people was very high back then. We'd always wave, Tarutaru dance, or whatever we bumped into one another.

Most game communities are like real life now: you walk past others players, everyone appears faceless, most ignore one another, and it's pretty depressing lol.

This is far better.

you played XI? I knew i liked you.

"Anyone for Jeuno run, PST"

Also, the upside to that system was the ******** and the bad players got left behind very quickly. The downside was you could be waiting a long, long, long time for the appropriate party member to show up lol.

Thank the lord for JP XP burn parties. I think i once pulled 4hrs straight without a break in Crawlers Nest. Those guys are machines.

I was an angry emo teenager and mained DRK <_<. I always started my own parties or I'd be in Jeuno spamming "39 DRK/WAR LFG" for a few hours.

I was talking to frds this weekend about Valkurm Beach and the shitshow goblin trains that'd leave a trail of corpses. Somebody talked about Crawlers Nest too. It's crazy that we're alive in an era where our imaginations, amplified by a flat screen, create such real memories of 'pretend ****.' Those goblin trains did cause me panic lol

What'd you main?

EDIT: I remember a random Mithra became good frds w/ me at around level 15. For those who don't know, Mithras are cat girls in the game lol. We spent many hours leveling together alongside a pretty mute Tarutaru (he just danced and stabbed stuff with a tiny knife.) We heard rumors about going to Jeuno at level 20 to learn how to ride a chocobo. It took us 2 hours because the Tarutaru saw something cool and decided to stab it even though its strength was "Impossible to gauge" which led to us dying a few times.

A few months later, said Mithra asked if I was a dude. I said yes, and asked "her" the same, "she" was also a dude lol MMORPG = Many Men Online Role Playing GIrls.

I played a little of everything, at the end i was Nin/War and put a lot of time into Sam/Thf.

The trains were funny. Throatstab from Tonberries...not so much.

A good buddy of mine maxed WHM very very fast and he went around griefing people he remembered as being bad in necropolis for hours when they were doing AF hunts. Blm sub class Escape spell FTW! lol

Your buddy is ******* evil lmao

I'm sure some of those trains were intentionally created by angry higher lvls too lol

I tried to play the new FF mmo, could never really get into it
