Lol... I crashed and broke my hand in green and my comment was not directed at you.
If it was directed to me, I don't recall ever saying I'll hang with the fast guys because I think I'm fast. I started in green and moved to yellow only after I could hold a mid-pack yellow pace consistently. And that is pretty recent too.

If the spectator is coming in the same vehicle as me do they have to be on "the list"?
Or is this just for people who come without a registered rider?

Been there, done that... The bad side is that quantity is limited... If you don't reserve ahead of time...

Send in your spectators name. They'll get "waived" in at the gate without any problems.
All spectators should be on the list to ensure no issues at the gate.

FYI, just in case I am not the only dinosaur still using an infrared lap timer......
I will bring my XT beacon tomorrow with fresh batteries. It might not work with those super cheap Chinese timers (can't remember) but with anything else I think it is good. Will set up on the wall near start / finish.

I used the fancy laptimer for the first time at mosport last week. It is really interesting because not only gives you yout lap times but more importantly it gives you the line you are taking on the track through google earth and the corner speed so you know exactly where you need to improve, that combined with video are very good learning tools.
You need all these things and shinny parts when you have no talent

Damn I don't have either.
Daisoman, before I created my Android + external GPS rig, I used one of those Chinese timers. Worked well (well almost), maybe it would miss a lap or two throughout the day, but no biggie. I used to put the beacon at the end of the wall on the straight. If you want, I'll bring it to TMP tomorrow for you, or if you're not coming tomorrow, you can stop by my house today and pick it up. Use as much as you want, return to me after/if you upgrade to something else.
