GST/HST Holiday

China is a the world leader in renewable and clean energy. While we may not agree with our local approach I will never understand why anyone would want China to just own this... Yes they also still generate A LOT of dirty electricity but they understand that it is not sustainable in the long run while also understanding you can't just flick the switch overnight.

This is the risk the USA runs by NOT embracing the clean-energy revolution. Finding excuses for not doing it needs to get replaced with asking how we can do it.

I think the word you meant to use was stench. I was so glad to see the end of that nutter.
I think he did a great job representing Canada globally among other things. I don’t think you can say the same thing about Justin Trudeau. What is it that you didn’t like about him?

In a perfect world we would have Stephen Harper instead of Pierre Polievre running for Prime MinisterThe guy came to work, had a steady hand on the wheel, did his job and no drama, no fancy socks. My life was better in every measurable way when he was running the show than it is now. I met him once and shook his hand. I swear to god there was an aura around him.

Here is my beef with Harper: Canadian Scientists Explain Exactly How Their Government Silenced Science

This was widely reported. If you don't like that particular article about this situation, there's lots of others from other sources back in the same timeframe describing the same situation.

That sort of thing should not happen, and it is not acceptable AT ALL.

Prediction: The same thing is going to happen, on an enormously greater scale, just to the south of us, in a couple of months.

He promised 3E senate reform and to be very transparent. Then bailed on the triple E and shut out the media to become the most secretive government ever.
Like @Brian P said he gagged Canadian scientists and wouldn't allow them to speak freely and specifically forbade them to use the word climate change.
Tried to gerrymander our elections by making it harder for First Nations to vote along with other aspect of the elections.
His changes to the Navigable Waters Act.
Screwing veterans with his "lump sum" approach.
He was racist - "Old stock Canadians..."

I could go on.

Your assertion is wrong. "Old stock Canadians" includes people who's great great grandparents emigrated here via the underground railroad. It's a term to define people that are multigenerational Canadians, not white. Trudeau likes to pull that buIIshit false flag narrative too.

Our riding tends to be more potato, less rice. When a house sold across the street an elderly neighbour asked me if I knew anything about the buyer. I think he meant colour.

The NDP candidate, with the potential of a snowball in a blast furnace, commented at an all candidates dog and pony show "People keep asking for a return to traditional Canadian values".

To me the phrase is exemplified by our troops on D-Day storming Nazi Europe. I think she missed the comments as meaning "Less rice"

I'm happy if the term "Old stock" includes newcomers as well, as long as they are here to help keep Canada a peaceful progressive country.

What else you got?

Dumb people or people that think the government has money will think this is good. Anyone that understands they are borrowing from our grandkids will be outraged.

EDIT:
Realistically, we will be paying infinite interest on these cheques as debts are large enough that no future government will ever make substantial progress on reducing them.
Stephen Harper had a masters degree in economics and we got sound economic policies. Justin Trudeau was a drama teacher and all we’re getting is drama, go figure.

The last responsible government was Paul Martin before Harper everything since then has been debt

Some debt is necessary. I’ve read numerous times and I believe it to be true that this current Liberal administration has spent more money and incurred more debt than all other administrations COMBINED. I’ll say it again, the current Liberal administration has spent more money and incurred more debt than all other administrations in the last 157 years COMBINED. Think about that. If that doesn’t scare you I don’t know what will, this budget is not going to “balance itself”.

… and during those 157 years there were also two world wars to pay for and a pandemic in 1918 that was far worse than the one we just had.
