Got vintage?

Did you find a complete tool kit for an FJ 600? Mine went missing when it was there for service 5 years ago. Really ****** me off at the time because they had done lots of work on the bike and it was the original kit.

Last time I went to Ontario Cycle Salvage, there was a big box on the floor filled with all the tools that they pulled from the bikes in their boneyard. I was able to piece together a complete tool kit for $10. I made my own little vinyl pouch for the toolbox.

There were no complete toolkits in that box. All the tools were loose and just tossed in.

Does anyone know who owns this, is it for sale, would the owner sell it, or is he just leaving it to the elements....?

.
I had a mint one in the late eighties and sold it in the mid 90's. I hope that's not my old one. Does anyone know the vin number?

In all seriousness, please help me understand the concern for that Katana. It doesn't look like a rare or a beautiful vehicle. So then?

Vehicles can be expressions of personal uniqueness.. Maybe it is just owned by a strange person?

I'm thinking a conceptual artist.

I agree with you. The person who owns this is strange. I understand being unique and wanting to express your self but to quote Nick Polovski "whoever defaced that work of art by painting it that color... ought to have his *** removed".

Well, I'm 99% sure (I didn't up the photo) that this is the bike that's been rotting behind 401 Richmond at the entrance to the back parking lot. It's for sure been there for at least 7 years. And if you don't know, 401 Richmond is an incredible office space mainly for artists, architects, NGOs, etc. I always assumed this just became an art piece over that 7 year period. Up close its in rough shape but nothing is beyond repair. Talk to the 401 building. They might just be waiting for someone to remove it for them.

Looking at the photo it appears to be blocking a rusty bike rack. Good luck with whatever you decide to do but be careful because if no consent from title owner of plated vehicle, then it is actually theft even if sitting. The other half of it is you then have a filthy mess that has been out in the rain and snow for 7 years. If it was mine I would feel the need to completely disassemble every last piece, clean and rebuild. New gaskets, etc. What is more likely to happen is that it'll get parked in the garage taking up space until the tv show comes to save you.

Or the owner has been asked a thousand times to sell it but takes great delight (though not indicative by facial expression) in having something other people want for cheap.
I knew a guy with an old Corvette in the driveway. A week didn't go by that somebody didn't angle to liberate it. Guy loved the attention and power.

And really it is kind of beautiful in a 1980s post-apocalyptic serial killer kind of way.

If zombies could ride motorcycles, this would be it.

I wonder if the bike's owner in on this forum... he must be getting a real kick out of this! :D

Love those sohc Hondas.

Nice FZR but I've never considered full fairing sportbikes to be vintage regardless of how old they are.

There's a world of difference between this:
