Broski.... Find a bike you like, not a bike other people like, go to it, give the money and just ride it. You've procrastinated like 3 weeks now listening to other people tell you how to do things, how to pick up the bike, how to ride it, not to ride it, insurance this, insurance that.
Get your quotes, go get the bike you want most.

LOL I have chosen one.. Sorta/kinda.. as long as everything is good with this CBR600 imma get it. I came to get some advice as this is my second bike and I'm still quite the noob.. I just want to make the right choice that's all.

lol I meant I should be receiving the VIN which I did. So now I can get the Used Vehicle Report and confirm the bike is clean. Now that I know that I can confidently put down a deposit.

Guess you didn't bother reading the full thread. Got quoted for insurance at sub $1k... So ye.. it more than covers insurance, thanks

As of right now, I got the VIN.. got the UVIP and everything checks out. I'm going to pick up the bike next week mid week.. Yes I put down a small deposit for his time...

I definitely will post pics!

I wanted to pick it up tomorrow, but the hitch didn't get installed as planned on my rents car(They need it as well to move a boat carrier) So I have to wait until next week. I can be patient... The difference in price is quite a bit to just rent a trailer vs renting a cargo van or something.

I have a bad feeling about this, am I correct that you have never seen the bike? you sent a deposit after talking on the phone to "his mechanic". bad f3eling.
did you check out for reviews on the bike shop and matched the tel number to the shop? sorry to be a downer, but I wouldn't buy a bike unseen. however, if a reputable shop's mechanic vouched for the bike I probably would - but I would want to talk to someone at the shop's advertised tel. number. bad feeling. hope im wrong.

hope these concerns haven't been addressed earlier, lot to look at- 200 posts..
