i hope go pro fans are not like apple fans.

and that the cam can be charged while recording.
The Hero2 can so I assume the new one can as well.

I love that it can do 1440p so I can view my vids in native res on my monitor! :)

It can also record @ 4k resolution! but at 15FPS only... but 1080P 60FPS XD or 1440P @ 48FPS.

But I think Go Pro kinda screwed over people that bought the GoPro Hero 2...

It can also do 2.7k at 30fps, so yeah that's kinda crazy. Their new promo video looks great

There's a real difference here between the Hero2 and Hero3 Black, it's not some ****** "sorta" upgrade like the iPhone 4S to 5 was. It can now do 120FPS @ 720p. That's a huge improvement if you shoot slow motion, and now you can do 60FPS @ 1080P, along with some much larger resolutions at usable FPS. Now has built in WiFi too, so I would say none of these points are akin to an iPhone upgrade, they're all pretty major.

I just recently won brand new GoPro ver.1 with suction cup at Subaru show. It seems to do the job.

But dang! $400 for GoPro3?

Son of a biznatch! I still don't have a fully functional Hero2 + WiFi + Android app solution!

Maybe they could get their other products working properly before releasing something new...

But yeah, 1080p@60fps is pretty nice...

Yeah, same way as Hero2 came out and 'screwed' original Hero owners. I am glad H3 is coming out, but I'm very happy with my H2 lol.

4k resolution = 400$ lol

ANNNND it comes with the wifi remote thats 80$ standalone.

Wondering what move contour will do next with the contour+ series

Seriously though, for you guys who dont have SSD's go on youtube and lookup 4k videos

And watch how hard your computer works for you

Demo vid is up, some sportbike scenes too!

How big is the memory card suppose to be to record 4K? If you'll have to carry a bunch of 32 or 64GB cards with you, and extra batteries, it's going to be "amazing".

i guess the 15fps "scales down" the size of the file

and theyve switched to micro-sd so all those regular size SD arent usable anymore

I'm wondering if the 12FPS limit to 4K is due to the sensor, or current speed of SD cards. I'm leaning towards it being due to the write speed of current cards

Yeah!
How did they get some of those angles with the supplied attachments lol Anyone who's ever tried using a mount with 2 arm pieces in it knows how badly they flex on a bike. The onlything even close to the quality of that vid that i've seen is your setup on the gas tank.

Thanks! My mount setup works good but that Kapscomoto mount goes have a bit of flex in it. It gets a weird resonance in it around 3,000rpm to 4,000rpm where it goes all wobbly, but luckily on the track you're rarely in that range ;)
