drift HD 720 it is then I think. has remote + lcd, just lacks wifi which would be nice for aligning shots or using it on a radio controlled quad copter for aerial shots. LCD is ok if it's in view, but LCD is no good for helmet aligning, unless you use the mirror and contort yourself? :p
I saw the JVC one on engadget and the resulting insulting. the sony one.. well it's sony, maybe it'll take minidisc discs and require special proprietary PC software for it's obscure nonstandard video format they make up, cost $700 and then lose all support after 8 months.

I think I'll skip that one.
 
I'm really hoping mine comes soon as i'm leaving for my California trip on Monday at like 10.

To make it difficult for you again, the GoPro Hero 2 is back - looks like they got more stock. $219
 
The JVC looks like a nice, full featured unit but is big and ugly as sin mounted (dare to say worse than the Gopro).

$219 is once again gone.

It shows as $279 now.

Should have purchased this morning when I saw it. Instead, I signed up for their stupid CC to get $15 off, and decided to wait for that to come through first. That hasn't come through, and the price went up. :(

I actually kinda like it.. specs don`t seem to mention a remote option, but it`s nice that it includes the LCD and wifi, and that it doesn`t need a case to be water proof..

+1 to this if nothing else, although it seems as if the Adixxion is launching at $349, which I think is high.
 
engadget just did a review of the Muvi HD NPNG. comes with a waterproof case and is $230~?
has a remote and LCD like the drift, but looks smaller than drift. no wifi.
also tempting.
 
price matched mine at a local dealer for $279 :D

picking it up on Friday with the wifi backpac... now if only they'd hurry up and release the Android app...

Even on ebay paypal will take care if you.. some people just like to hate!

Don't get me wrong, I prefer to by local when possible.. but it's gotta be comparable in price.

Might be able to catch someone new, but as a rule none of the major chains will price match Amazon, or anything exclusively online for that matter.
