Good news thread

I'm more into stroop waffles. AKA Stroopies but my wife knows some Dutch people and yeah, chocolate hail on toast.
Salted black licorice?? It's an accquired taste.

I've sampled it from the selection at The Windmill in Mount Pleasant south of Brantford. It isn't NaCl salt but rather some other variant that I'm not working hard at liking.

I haven't been there in a few years but it used to a decent place for a light lunch, except for the salted licorice.

Most people don't get it. But if you do......

Partner told me today after I related the Dutch story that Aussie kids have a variation she recalls eating when she was small.

australian bread with chocolate bits from www.reddit.com

Fairy bread is genuinely an iconic staple snack at any Australian party. Go try some. Just butter some cheap white bread and throw some sprinkles over it.

I like licorice but not that salted black version....acquired taste indeed:cautious:

A pair of fake legs in jeans and sneakers sticks straight out of a puddle-and-brick-filled pothole on a gray, rainy day.

James Coxall and his family built these denim-clad, wooden legs and erected them in the muddle of a pothole on a road in the British village of Castle Camps. (Submitted by James Coxall)

Wow - 50 years in the making
