Ghomeshigate

Also I recommend all the naysayers about Ghomeshi's acquittal to listen to what Christie Blatchford has to say on the matter. She, unlike you and I, was in the court room since day one and has a great understanding of what went down. I'll take her word over a few Twitter SJW's or extreme leftist Feminists at these rallies any day of the week.

Yup.

I second that. Also all the naysayers after following the trial are intellectually retarded and not worth arguing or reasoning with.

I looked at the Blatch's video and feel confident in blindly following her conclusions. Mind you she has a stellar reputation not only as a thinker, woman and reporter but also as a Leafs fan. The only thing that she left out, and it may be the Leaf fan in her, is that you could probably be guilty of something with out even being accused of anything.

I happen to agree with Blatchford and I agree with the verdict. Still, the judge did not exonerate Ghomeshi in his ruling. Those claiming that Ghomeshi has been proven innocent should read the ruling.

"[140] My conclusion that the evidence in this case raises a reasonable doubt is not the same as deciding in any positive way that these events never happened. At the end of this trial, a reasonable doubt exists because it is impossible to determine, with any acceptable degree of certainty or comfort, what is true and what is false. "

must remember your salient point

let's protest in support of the 3 liars, yep, that advances your cause and credibility

Well there you go. The three liars could have accused him of anything beyond what they did accuse him of. And the judge would still be in the same position. Do you think Gomeshi did more than he was accused of? Because there is just as much lack of evidence to prove that as well. Judges sure have a fancy way of saying they don't know. I don't mind admitting that anything is possible. That doesn't mean anything happened.

She works for National Post. Just google Gomeshi. You'll see it.

Ghomeshi is known as a piece of sheet and probably did nasty things to these women and others. However, the fact some of these women, blew him, banged him and sent him dirty messages after the supposed attacks ruined their credibility. You can't claim that you didn't like the way he treated you and then swallow his load .

Thanks, we've been slowly and methodically picking thru the available evidence so as to consider all possible angles and avoid any pitfalls in judgement of the second generation immigrant in question. How refreshing it is to see someone stand up and cut right to the chase. I feel a little sheepish now.

Well, Blatch took a far more circuitous route to say the same thing...

I never liked Blatch, from her Sun days, and I despise Jian for many reasons, none because of his behavior with his dates. I really liked victim Lucy, from the trailer parks boys show. But it turns out her TV character and real life persona were too similar.

two wrongs will never make a right, I'm with the judge on this one.

What a terrible case to have to make a ruling on. I agree with the judge though. You have a lot of accusations, then you're confronted with information that establishes the accusers as liars and there is no other concrete evidence you can use to convict. Gomesh is probably an abuser, but you can't put a man in jail on the say-so of proven liars.

I think that there's one big lesson to take away from this: In court tell the whole, unvarnished truth. Do not embellish to try and make your position stronger. Do not conceal points that you think will make your position weaker. Telling the whole truth, both the things that support your position and those which don't, makes your testimony all the more believable. Anything else has the opposite effect.
