Add one word and it would more accurately reflect what the judge said -> "I can not declare him guilty but my not declaring him guilty doesn't NECESSARILY mean he is innocent".

In other words, there is no way of knowing for certain because the complainants words taken as a whole are unreliable, and as a result "it is impossible to determine, with any acceptable degree of certainty or comfort, what is true and what is false."

Ah cause from what I heard she got the make and model wrong when describing it. I wanted to know what car she said because it's pretty hard to screw up a vw beetle. But I guess from what you're saying is he didn't have the car.

Haha. No. I read the 2nd part as he could not conclude IF or IF NOT the events occurred due to the fact that the description of the claimed events was only given by a source that he deemed unreliable.

There is one of the issues that arises when witnesses start to communicate (collude?) prior to giving testimony. The comment that she made likely came from one of the other witnesses and was folded into her own testimony. Witnesses need to play it straight. Being caught in one lie can have The Court completely disregard your entire testimony.

Today's pro-tip If one runs afoul with the law its best to have enough financial resources to hire a advocate that has the skills to prove what absolute buffoons the bottom ten percent of the legal profession are.

don't feed the courts BS
come to court with something solid otherwise you are also marginalizing the real victims males and females

They all have camera phones, if they were so distraught, hit record...go back at a later date and hit record
otherwise you look stupid and the ppl that blindly support these women look dumber which removes your credibility.

They are old enough to have sex but can't seem to deal with the parts leading up to it and the interactions between men and women.

You just don't get it. The judge said in court he didn't think Ghomeshi was innocent, but there was no grounds for a guilty verdict in the first case. This one that's being settled today is a plea bargain to spare the underling co-worker he verbally (and technically) assaulted having to testify in court. A peace bond isn't a presumption of innocence. It's a stay of charges similar to a conditional discharge. Do it again, and you get hauled into court to face the original charges, plus, whatever other charges brought you in front of the courts again. The guy's a serial predator. Plain and simple.

If someone touches you and you feel so violated, go to the police and NOT wait years later to gang up ONLY to be caught red handed for lying.

I don't care about Jian, he did his part, he went to court to face his charges.
I care more about ppl that LIE and lie and LIE right to the judge's face.
You seem to leave out the part where the judge came right to the edge of that line of calling those women LIARS.
Those women were busted with their own actions and evidence.
