For anyone looking for a contourHD...

i can do that video tomorrow. as you can see the weather conditions and time of day were far from perfect.

in fact, i jumped on the bike with nothing but a helmet, t-shirt and shorts with running shoes on. Good god did i feel vulnerable. how can anyone ride like that day to day is beyond me.

Have the waterproof case for my Contour HD...
It's *useless* for making the video sound half decent.
Went as far as doing my own microphone mod today (opened it up, put a thin slice of foam earplug in the bottom microphone grommet) and it helped a bit, but wasn't worth the effort all said and done.

My GoPro's sound is so much superior it's not funny -- run an HMF exhaust on my Buell 1125r, so it puts out a fair volume. Can still hear talking etc with the water proof case on.

So, whenever editing some recordings on the bike (solo, group or track days), the GoPro will receive 100% recording volume, the Contour zero. Contour will be pointing to the rear or side of the helmet.

Being my cheap self I picked one of the $8 ebay keychain camera's and the picture quality for the price is actually pretty good lol

(Not my video but same camera and quality)

Damn, I wish I knew about those earlier this season, would have used them for some really unique shots since I wouldn't care if I broke'm!

A bit late but here it is.

the microphone is mounted in the "trunk" and wrapped in some cloth, the camera is mounted on the frame protector....i think a bit more sound insulation would get rid of the high pitch noise and hopefully bring the bass back in. Ofcourse there is no sound editing shown here and with some tuning it would sound even better.

Note to self: the PC3 is loose in the trunk...lol
