Met in real life - coffee, beer or an art gallery, museum or the Science Center.

I have never had that problem with the assuming. I suppose its how you carry yourself. The exit strategy, hmmm I am a pretty blunt person so I suppose it would end in a similar way... as friends...lol

Yeah, I totally didn't expect the person to be a stranger or someone the OP didn't know at all. I have only ever had 1 experience with a psycho girl, but it ended well enough.

my girlfriend brought over several bottles of wine, mostly in the 30-60 range, but then she brought this $300 bottle and let me tell you, there is a world of difference in taste even to my yet untrained taste buds..

Meh W/E you say - Date was a success. Dinner, walk and my room started neat and clean, laundry washed and put away etc, by the morning ended up looking like a bomb exploded in there, pillows, blankets, clothes everywhere along with a broken alarm clock :love6:

Gentlemen, as to the movie idea, I must dissent.

Took a girl out to the TIFF Bell Lightbox the other week. I'm a member there (student member = $40) and there's a neat restaurant on the third floor that non-members can't get into. Nothing quite says "pimp" like taking her to a place with a view over King street in a restaurant she couldn't get into and then going to see a classy WWII-era French film.

Her only complaint was that she didn't like how I made scrambled eggs the next morning.

What do you guys think of going to a bar, pub, or club as a first date? I never really thought about it until yesterday. And after giving it some thought, it sounds so genius. Although I'm not sure how it pans out IRL
