First Date Ideas ?

Why go out? Have her over and cook for her !!!!

I am very surprised this wasn't more frequently said. If you own your own house/condo (not living with parents or roommates), have her over for a nice dinner which you prep before hand or if she is cool with it she can give you a hand, so you can have a good conversation over a moderately ($50-100) priced bottle of wine. Keep it somewhat formal and as the evening progresses you will know where you stand (and you will already be near a bed if it goes REALLY well).

Alternately you could spend a lot more money and do that out, and you may lose out on private moments.

I feel the movie/bowling thing is way too high school.. first dates are for a good impression..

I dunno, it seems that most girls will assume you only want to bang if you try to get them to come over for a first date. If you can talk her into it though than sure.

I think most people WAAAY overthink this first date idea. Hockey game? Concert? really? You want something where you can have an exit if it goes bad, and I don't think I've ever spent more than $50 on a first date, seriously. If I need to throw cash at a girl to impress her than she's not worth it. Hell, I don't even pay 2 out of 3 times.

Yep. Go for coffee. If it goes well you can plan something bigger, otherwise it's an hour of your life you'll never get back.

Edit:
Ideas previously posted before I read...

The problem with that is there is no contingency plan, if she is a psycho and u don't know her that well...
Good luck trying to get her out of there, she knows where u live too.

That can work if she is a friend of a friend tho.

$25 is an expensive bottle of wine for me.

I was going to post the exact same thread about 2 days ago lol

Why go out? Have her over and cook for her !!!!
Doing it tomorrow night :tongue8: My menu - her choice: Salmon fillet with seasoned crusted herbs along with rice and mushrooms, Seasoned chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto with either rice, broccoli and mushrooms or pasta and finally chicken, beef or shrimp stir fry. She chose option 2. Had a bet, "lost it" - loser takes out/buys/makes dinner for winner. Easiest way to "ask" someone out, girls like the competition

My question is, is that really a date or just a friendly bet u lost?

Most guys think a friendly gesture = she likes me
Most girls think a friendly gesture = I feel sorry for the poor sap

Take her to Rama or Woodbine for dinner and gambling.

Lots to do in Niagara Falls area.

Charter a plane ride or introductory lesson together at Buttonville.

Dave & Busters.

CMTS to go ATVing, then dinner at Horseshoe Resort.

Cruise on the Seguin in Muskoka.

Go to a good ropes course or zip line at Horseshoe Resort. http://horseshoeresort.com/site/adventure-park/zip-flyer.html

Cooking class is a little personal for a first date - just my opinion. Neat 3rd date idea maybe.
Outdoor activities are always fun. If you have a dog, invite her to go for a walk with you and the mutt through some nice trails.
Go skiing or snowboarding the coming winter. The 1-2 hour drive is also a great way to get to know each other prior. Be sure to stop at Tim Hortons though.
I never have an issue when a guy keeps it traditional. Coffee, a beer ... if that's their comfort zone, fine by me.

Best first dates I've been on ....
1) I was told to dress warm. He picked me up, said it was a surprise. Drove to a dark park and got out. I was about to reach for a sharp object when he pulled 2 toboggans out
of the back of the truck. So childish but we had a blast. Original and pretty bold.
2) The haunted barn out in Stoufville. That season too!
3) Wine tasting. Everyone took it so seriously but us. We got wasted and had to spend all evening in the bar across the street to sober up. Gave us a great chance to talk more one on one. I paid for the meal since he covered the tasting. Keeping it fair :)

You still with Fabio?

I'll tell you where not to go: movies. Theatres are the dumbest first dates ever.

My best first dates have always been meeting up and talking. I just take them somewhere nice in the car or on the bike and we just talk while having the nice scenery to look at. It's not that I'm a cheap date, it's that conversation keeps me interested. I'm not gonna spend 100 bucks to find out that you're boring. I'm also not sure how old you are, but at my age, I can rule out girls who rate money as a huge factor in relationships.

But take advantage of Halloween. Bitches love being scared. lol

I have a first date coming up. Plan is Halloween Haunt on sunday, after 7 (I better look at park hours eh??). She's more pumped for it than I am I think.

Hopefully, she'll get freaked out enough, and hopefully, I don't lose my **** due to some PTSD, or end up punching casper in the face as a reflex... Not a good first impression lol.

Simple walks are good (I've ended up "off trail" a time or two)
Rock climbing is always good... And if you're lucky she will wear some lulu lemon pants.
Ride on the bike down a nice scenic road for some back woods ice cream place is awesome in the summer.
Sometimes just coffee turns in to (damn, I gotta be at work in an hour!)
If you have chemistry it won't really matter.

This person or people deserve a nobel prize! They're god's gift to man kind! (for the most)
