Enclosed trailer hacks

There's no force on what? Without the bolts, the first time you turned, this thing would fall out. Those bolts provide almost all of the lateral support and a bit of support when you hit the brakes.
It will be flush with the floor. I'm cutting a 6"x16" hole in the trailer floor.

My wheel chocks came yesterday.i thought they would come with carriage bolts. Instead they came with peculiar fasteners. See pic. I'll be measuring 3 or 4 times.
Those are dynabolts. Used for concrete. Do they expect people to use the chocks in their garage having to jackhammer out some of the concrete? That's very peculiar.

That's what I thought. Given room for free expansion, maybe they expand enough to grab onto any thickness of decking. I'd still prefer a conventional solution.

Late to mention but be sure to paint the heck out of any exposed wood you cut and use a good sealer like Sika 291 or good grade caulking ( not silicone) to seal those baby’s in there . If rot will start anywhere, it will be around those chocks . My favourite would be to spray rubberized undercoating all over the bottoms of those once bolted in . $20 in good install now = never fixing in two decades .

They are getting the undercoat spray today. Big mess inside this morning. Mud everywhere. Brought my daughter's ty175 home with me. It needs a bit of love.
I'll be filling the trailer with yard waste later for a run to the dump. I'll hose it out then.

They do look pretty slick and I like them. @Wingboy how do you find them considering you've taken a bike with them already?
They proved themselves in a big way yesterday. Rain started and my gf needed to get shelter. Kick it closed and set up a lawn chair. Simple and quick. It was a last minute plan to bring Beth's bike home with me. Simple, open the other chock and roll it in. They weren't cheap ($90usd) and cutting holes in a new trailer wasn't easy.
Today i need to take a full trailer load of yard waste to the dump. Roll the bikes out, store the tie downs inside the chocks. Simple.

@Wingboy
They are not like conventional wheel chocks. They don't look deep.
Are they able to hold up a bike once front wheel is chocked in? Are is the purpose of them more to prevent the bike from wanting to roll foreward when breaking?

Not like a Baxeley. You can't just roll it in and walk away. It's purpose is to locate the front wheel for transport.

I always use button head 3/8" or M10 to mount stuff to a trailer floor.

Hex head bolts in the middle of a floor are a larger than you might think trip hazard.

I use bedliner in a spray can under my trailers. Tougher, longer lasting and more impervious to water than undercoating. TV Flexseal spray is also good under trailers.

Befliner rattlecans on sale at PA this week for $12/can... bought me a case

I didn't want to start a new thread for this but I saw this cool 2-in-1 Seadoo trailer on the road today.

Two individual trailers that can be converted into one. 4 wheels in total.

Never seen on before. I think its cool. Probably $$$$

Looks like the tongue can be straightened out to mount to a hitch ball.

Cool in theory. I could see it tracking very poorly on a heavily crowned road.

Ordered a trailer today. It will be here in two months. Lots of time to get what i need to make it mine.
Tell us what you did with yours, or what you wish you hadn't done.
Chocks
Storage
Tie down points
E Track etc
Security (mine is going to be tagged)
Overnight comforts
Etc etc etc
12v Winch $100, epoxy sprayed undercarriage $100, 110v 15 amp outlets with connection to genie at the nose $50, drilled hinges and latches then fitted zerks $2, 12v jack $96, 2 rows of etrack $60, hdpe mat on tailgate $100.

Wished I didn’t etrack walls, they are not strong enough unless you back them with a 2x6.
