If a politician ever did "the right thing" for the people they server, they would be out of office so fast it would make their head spin.Would that not be the right thing to do?

Right.... good luck with that.My recommendation to Doug....put the greenbelt changes on hold or better yet cancel them outright. The developers in question can try their hands at farming.
It will never happen, BUT if it was just some staffer that did all this....shouldn't the corruption be reversed or put on hold pending years of investigations? Would that not be the right thing to do?
lol
Politics of the 'least worst' - let's hope that changes.Sad that DoFo is our least offensive option right now too.
A few years back, when the greenbelt was first sprinkled with holy water a friend in the Uxbridge area was at a swanky do thanks to family connections. There were a number of developers there and he asked what they were going to do since the area was getting stitched up for noble purposes. My recommendation to Doug....put the greenbelt changes on hold or better yet cancel them outright. If the staffer got 20+ years in prison I wonder how chatty they would become, naming names etc.My recommendation to Doug....put the greenbelt changes on hold or better yet cancel them outright. The developers in question can try their hands at farming.

Buy shares in companies that make redaction fluids.Well. it's been handed off to the RCMP - we'll see what comes of that.

I noticed a number of people commented on backmarkerducati's post with laughter. The same response my friend got from the developers for his comment. They just laughed. Now they may be smirking and snickering to the tinkle of champagne glasses as the delays make the prices and profits rise.
Clark's replacement was trying to non-explain why the land was needed when the formal extensive report said it wasn't.
What the heck is this move? Did the developers get cold feet?Well I’ll be damned…
Ontario Premier Doug Ford apologizes, reverses plan to develop Greenbelt
Premier Doug Ford said he will be reversing his government’s decision to open up the Greenbelt to developers, calling the controversial land removals a “mistake.”toronto.ctvnews.ca
Good question. Maybe he's trying to throw of the RCMP investigation into it and expose skeletons in the closets of everyone involved. What the heck is this move? Did the developers get cold feet?

That would be my guess. The whole thing stunk from start to finish, the last thing he needs now is a major scandal.Good question. Maybe he's trying to throw off the RCMP investigation into it and expose skeletons in the closets of everyone involved.
