Does this happen to any one else on gtam?

-I have had a number of people drive extremely aggressively around my motorcycle, trying to what i assume is out race/kill me. Does this happen to anyone else? I even try and slow down so they can pass, but they will slow down and wait for me to approach.

Full Post.
So last weekend i was on my way to work around 9pm. I was cruising down the dvp with the flow of traffic. Some ******-bag in a white late model subaru hatch kept trying to weave through traffic and pass me. I though i'll let this idiot pass. He would eventually get caught behind a snail until i passed him and he would do it again. After a couple close calls i finally punched it weaved (using signals, no lane splitting) through some traffic and left him in the dust....on my ninja stock 250....

About a week prior to that on my way home from my day job at around 5:30 pm on a Wednesday, some redneck in a late model 5.7L dodge hemi pickup (i think it was a 1500, 4 doors) was tailgating me and weaving through traffic. at the next traffic lights he tried to race me. i made him look stupid into 3rd gear, i let off and let him pass. he did the same thing as the idiot int he subaru, waiting for me to catch up and "go again". I dusted him in some twisties..

Both times I allegedly broke more traffic laws than I can count, because I was genuinely afraid that one of the morons would loose control of their vehicles and take me out. I tried letting them pass, but they would just slow down and do the same crap....

Finally on the westbound Gardner a moron in a Porsche 997 s swerved into my lane without signaling. i honked as i was breaking to get his attention. he gives me the finger. i found a gap in traffic, passed at a very moderate speed.. this moron came flying past me in my lane about 30 seconds later.honking and giving me the finger.

seriously wtf, is it just me? is it my 250?

Seems like you 2 options. If you feel like your life is in danger record their plate# pull over let them pass and report. 2nd option, drop a gear and disappear, but very unlikely with a 250.....3rd option is vigilante move but can't win against a car sooo back to option 1

Doesn't happen to me too much, or maybe I just don't notice.

Had a father and his little kid pull up next to me at the lights in some muscle car a few days back, he decided to give it some mustard off the line and I kept up for a while. I'm not 100% sure if he was trying to race, or just put a smile on the kids face. The kid was having the time of his life, though.

But if its a ****** bag, I'm getting out of that situation one way or another... not interested in being around that kind of driver

Where are you riding? For me on the 675 it's usually the Infiniti crowd trying to race me. My move is agressive acceleration in first, then stop at the limit and chuckle as they whiz by a couple seconds later

A swift kick to the door.

Will get you run into the curb, sideswiped, or pushed into oncoming. Seen all 3 happen to friends. Breaking off a mirror seems to be safer if you have traffic to escape into

Ride by with foot out. If anything makes them aware you are there.

mostly gta highways an main streets this is happening. i usually wait until i can find a gap and weave through a pack, letting the traffic work as a buffer. Or loose them in a series of winds in the road. its a 250 but it isn't exactly a slouch, remember 0-60 times are in line with entry level sport cars, and very nimble. not many people could handle a vehicle at the tops speed of the ninja 250 on the dvp.

-thats a good point about taking down the plate numbers, i will start doing that. the cops won't charge them, but they will note the report, and if the plate get's pulled on a traffic stop, you're alot more likely to get a ticket than a warning.

to be honest, i like the 250 its fun, can't break 150 kph and catch a 50 over license suspension unless i'm on a downhill with a tailwind, but with crap like this happening i'm very tempted to build a turbo busa and ride with a Louisville slugger strapped to my back.

I have people trying to race my cbr125. Usually younger people. Its a situation which I cannot win.

I find that people in and around Toronto find honking as an act of aggression which in turn, you will tend to see many retaliate in a stupid manner on the road whether they're right or wrong.

Talking about cut off. This past weekend I was in far left lane passing traffic and some Asian man in red RSX practically took me out as he moved right into my lane. He didn't check his blind spot. I was so angry and my passenger girl got pretty scared. I gave the guy a friendly brake check. This guy then tries to pass me on the shoulder of far left lane by being sooo close to my bike. Lol really? Dropped a gear and disappeared with my middle finger.

Recently I was riding to work and some big smiling idiot in a Subaru Wagon would always stop really close behind me at lights.

Eventually I got an opening in traffic and I zipped away but at the next pile of traffic he was on me again. He even made serious efforts going thru traffic to get behind me.

After about 5 mins of this I pulled far enough a head and pulled safely into a gas station...the guy drove by.

Odd.

Out for a civil ride the other day and gino in his camaro (I'm Italian so gino is as nice as it gets for a name) decided he'd ride my *** while doing 20 over. Couldn't shake him, he wouldn't pass so we came up to a passing lane and I dove over to the fast lane and nailed the brakes. He whizzed right by me so I got on his *** and flipped him off for about 3 kms until my turn came up. I don't know why people in a cage want to push someone on a bike. Clearly my 600 would destroy his 90's mullet mobile.

I get that the odd time, and I don't like having some idiot playing beside me. What I do is demonstrate an acceleration that's shrivels their balls and makes them quit. Then I resume my normal speed, never had anybody come back for a second dose of humiliation.

Maybe these people are just jealous of someone out on a bike. Or maybe they just drive like that all the time. I get cut off just as much in my F350 as I do on my bike. But yes, the kid with his dad in the muscle car, I even let them "win" the "race" to watch the kid's reaction.

Favourite trick Gilligan does and I've done too, is to rev at the light, like you've accepted their challenge. Really play it up. Then when the light goes green, take off slower than normal. The guy goes zooming past leaving his balls behind.

When did base model Honda civics and Mazda 3's become entry level sport cars????

I have a 250 and I've taking it to 180 KPh (give or take 5%) easily, all stock (On a private track of course). Your Ninja should be able to go just as fast. I agree 250's are fun because you can go almost to the limits with them and they are cheap to operate. Just get a piece of thick rebar and attach it to your frame with a magnet that way its hidden when not needed.
