Looks like that may be my only option, but after setting it up and getting a box it'll be near a grand I hear.

I have a question. Buddy is with Rogers, did a speed test at my house from his phone and speed was great. Isn't that high speed over a cellular network? I don't understand how his phone can get high speed but Rogers says no to home service. What am I missing here?

If that is the case you should be fine using a Rocket Stick or any other cellular-based option. Keep in mind the rates are generally very high and your bandwidth cap will be very low.

For example, through Telus you can get a free LTE hub but the rate is $65/month for 6 GB.

Bell can get you up to 20GB but it's $90/month if you use that much (flex plan). The same hub Telus was giving for free appears to be $99.

Rogers rates are about the same as Bell but their highest option is 100GB for $145/month.

All of these should work. You may not get LTE speeds, though, but HSPA+ is fast enough for me. I've streamed Netflix and played online games when tethered to my non-LTE phone without issue.

Call Rogers and ask for a rocket hub you will have to buy the hub it is around 300 plus monthly charges will be 145 for 100gb. Less if you use less just don't go over or it is 10 per gb overage
