Covid booster

Does this plan seem like it’s working 22 months later ? Do you think we should keep on doing the same plan even though we aren’t out of this and we are actually looking worse in many respects than last year

Guess you have no idea how viruses mutate either. We can add that to the deficiency list.

you mean like the common cold which is also a coronavirus? The same reason why we have no vaccine for the common cold And the same reason this COVID vaccine isn’t working like other vaccines that have been actually properly developed and brought to market . Should we keep shutting down and boosting forever or should we accept that all virus pretty much become endemic and we need to move forward?
The deficiencies are all yours trust me ,although you do excel at hysterical keyboard warrior No deficiencies there.

So you also have no idea how clinical trials work either or how the viruses are extremely different? Another couple of deficiencies to add.

If you don’t mind me pointing this out, you seem to have rolled out ”Facebook’s Greatest Hits” regarding the crap that’s generally spewed by people who have no clue but who have had two years to educate themselves about the virus but neglected to do so.

How is bliss?

Let's hear your plan.

ah the old Facebook is where people I disagree with get their info . Next up you quote CBC headlines.
How do clinical trials or different versions of a coronavirus invalidate anything I said ?
‘nothing I have said is untrue or not factual but you keep changing positions and ignoring replies that prove you wrong. How’s confirmation bias and ignorance?

Let's hear your plan.
FIRST I need a time machine because the misinformation and fear campaign is near impossible to turn around now …
but if could go back I would
1. Build hospitals capacity out immediately instead of throwing 500 billion at people to stay home
2. Advise the public on best practices To avoid illness weight loss , proper diet , vitamin d etc repeat this ad nauseum
3. Not ban and block dissenting opinions on social media
4. Make sure the messaging is consistent and correct, don’t say the vaccine will end this , don’t say all we need is 75 percent vaccinations , then 80 , then 90 . Don’t say don’t wear masks and then yes wear them and then only wear this certain type.,tell people we will not eliminate this virus and they will need to learn to live with it eventually
5. Protect the vulnerable Let everyone else who chooses to live their life live their life.
6. Allow doctors to use therapeutics to treat people , not just send them home and tell them to come back if their symptoms get worse .
7. Stop reporting cases and deaths every day unless you put it in context of how many people die on a daily basis of normal circumstances around the world anyway. Showing the Numbers of Cases and deaths on a doom and gloom loop on TV just scares the crap out of people and doesn’t help anything. It seems people don’t believe that anyone dies anymore and Covid has shocked them that actually yes people do die all the time tragically.
7. Deal with the fallout from lockdowns and restrictions that are way worse than the virus. There should be more of a focus on mental health addiction etc. then there is on pushing vaccines nonstop. Which one has caused more damage, the virus or the fallout ?. We know the fallout has caused more.
At this point 22 months later accept that we need to move forward and allow people to live their lives while understanding that people die all the time and there’s nothing you can do to stop that.

if you’re asking me what I would do if I was put in charge today after all the nonsense the last two years I would say we need to push the therapeutics more than vaccines and we need to as I said above accept that life is hard people die and we need to move forward. Let those who want to get out and live their life do it and let those who want to stay away from people and wait for endless boosters or whatever makes you comfortable do that as well. Now let’s hear your plan.

great answer. your plan is keep doing the same thing while telling everyone not to look at Facebook…good one
lol…your answer to a plan for now is to get a time machine and go back in time to replay Facebook’s greatest hits on repeat and use therapeutics…that only treat symptoms (what are these mysterious therapeutics by the way, let me guess…ivermectin?) rather than try to address the spread of what is a pandemic of an infectious disease.

Infectious…infection…occurs from proximity…halt=isolation. Isolation in an urban setting is aided by lockdowns.

So…yep BINGO. I’ll give you this, you guys are at least predictable.

1. "Build more hospitals" isn't really the problem. Where do you find the staff? Who's going to train new staff, if you can find them? How long is it going to take?
2. Not wrong, although it has to be in conjunction with "this is not a 100% effective solution" - just as nothing else is.
3. Unfortunately, this leads to spread of misinformation - as it already has. Disproven statements need to be slammed down, and immediately if not sooner. People who promote conspiracy theories that end up killing people need to be held accountable. I don't know how to do that.
4. Sure. The problem is that at any point in time, we don't have all the information, and some things will turn out to be misguided. This is inherent in a developing situation. Hindsight is 20/20. The vaccination target has evolved along with the virus itself ... and we can't predict what mutation is going to be next. We still can't.
5. This approach DOES NOT WORK. Who is "vulnerable"? Everyone. There is no black and white definition of "vulnerable", it is a continuous shade of grey. Where do you draw the line?
6. They already do, when appropriate. We (collectively) have gotten a lot better at treating this. Hint: they're not using hydroxychloroquine ...
7. Not sure how this would help. Some people need to be scared into taking action. Covid19 has been up there in the rankings of cause of death in many countries.
8. Not at all true. Canada, for example, has recovered all jobs that were temporarily lost in the pandemic and we are now in a labour-shortage situation. YES the impact has been quite unequal.

Among all of the available options, vaccination is the best one ... even if it's not perfect.

What "therapeutics" would you suggest that aren't already being used? Please advise what qualifications you personally have in making this suggestion, or cite references to qualified sources.

I have had little doubt from the beginning that we were going to need periodic booster vaccinations. Viruses mutate. This one is no exception. If the one that I'm scheduled for on 30th December is the last one, I would be highly surprised. Ya know what ... So be it. I will allow the qualified microbiologists and doctors do their jobs.

‘you didn’t read again, first part was if I had a time machine , second part was for today .,amazing the confirmation bias You have …
therapeutics means anti virals , Pfizer and merck have made pills For this ….Don’t you know this?
‘he only person quoting Facebook it seems is you

And when did those pills come on line?

you want me to list all my qualifications but you can spout off all you want?
therpeutics mean the anti viral pills that Merck and Pfizer have developed…you don’t know that ?
we aren’t using them or any other treatments until the person is already hospitalized. That’s not preventative

and when did those pills come on line?
Soon hopefully. the problem is when you authorize a vaccine for emergency use you can’t have any other treatments available or the vaccine is not allowed to be authorized for emergency use. Hopefully the antiviral pills will come online sooner rather than later especially due to all the breakthrough infections on the vaccinated. What’s your plan? More of the same as cases triple ?
Sorry it’s not from Facebook :

Pfizer Seeks Emergency Use Authorization for Novel COVID-19 Oral Antiviral Candidate | Pfizer November 16 emergency use sought, last few weeks FDA approval gained. These pills are anti-virals. Not vaccines. Do you get the difference?

7. Death rate in Canada and around the world in general is under 2%

8. The fallout of these lockdowns has been HUGE on children; not just academically, but socially and mentally as well...trust me...I've been teaching since 2005, and the students are suffering in ALL aspects...

yes one treats the person and lowers death and hospitalisations , And one wanes very quickly and needs constant boosters and allows breakthrough infections at a very high rate while being touted and pushed by people who like to argue online and quote CBC headlines. Do you walk in circles like you talk in circles?

what’s the fallout on children losing parents or grandparents?

what’s the fallout on children losing parents or grandparents?

gee I don’t know because pretty much every child loses their grandparents and parents..,that’s the normal process of life… So you believe parents and grandparents should outlive their children and grandchildren? That’s a new one
