COVID and the housing market

The omega / swatch speedy , put me in the hate category. Superb marketing but it has me considering moving my speedy off , 2021 speedmaster full kit LOL still under warranty.

I’m wanted a submariner no date , I have a Tudor sub , it’s almost similar. New they are 9k , used 12-15k , lot of grey market at 15-17new . I have an issue giving a guy 6-9k profit flipping a watch , I don’t need it that badly.

My dad was in the watch business., he had thousands of watches - they were stored in bushel baskets in a store room at his office. When I'd go to work with him on a weekend, he'd let me smash them with a hammer to keep me from being bored.

I never gained an appreciation for such a simple machine.

Rolex is the best company at marketing itself. It's convinced many, especially on social media, that their watches are somehow special.
I've never owned one. Never really interested me. Having said that, I wouldn't mind trying a submariner. At msrp. Not a cent more.
So I guess I'll never own one and thats ok. Many other watches out there to enjoy.

Nice.
Nothing else like them. Love the looks of the luminor but will never buy a Panerai due to their business practices and value for price.
Fair. But "nothing else like them" is a large part of the value. I buy used, always. A year or two old. Most high end brands have 8 year warranties now.

When we were cleaning out my dads stuff after he passed I found a small case with 6 very old pocket watches in it. Never even knew he liked to collect them.
I have two watches I never wear except for the times I dress fancy (which is about 10 times a year).

I actually like pocket watches. Zero use or to wear with but I like em.

Time to start digging Kijiji.

Another dwelling sold by a fraudster. Also, this one was legally owned by an international student that hasn't been in Canada in years while it sat empty after being purchased for 800k (reading between the lines, without a mortgage). Government not counting these purchases as foreign buyers is disingenuous at best and far closer to active manipulation of data to achieve desired result.

Land size 135x216ft for almost 9mil. That’s a big nope from me.
That's almost double my current lot, so def would be a nice improvement. And Lorne Park...I wanna hang with the yuppies and hipsters all day long.

I'll need that Lambo and McLaren though. Maybe a G-Wagon for the wife...the Volt will be hidden in the garage for when I need to mingle with the poors.

I win lotto and this thing will be mine…

I'd rather be on the water for a lot less.

Agreed. If I win 50M...why not both?
