Residences are an interesting situation. They will be a breeding ground if it gets in. Probably a ton of non-compliance in them. First thought would be send them home where possible as the campus adds little value right now. But maybe they are already infected and now we scattered thousands more cases (and sent them home to live with older people). No good answersOur cases in Kingston went from 3 to 8 in a few days. One of our hockey arenas has been converted to a testing centre.
Some people are calling for student residences to be used as emergency housing for those that can’t pay rent. However, there’s no reports of people being evicted so this just smells like activist opportunism right now.
