I started this thread Feb 6th and went back to look at the initial comments. Views may have changed. Mine have.

Needs to be a better screening process for returning travelers.

Can't trust people to fill out screening documents at the airport or border effectively, or with any integrity.

Hell, people won't even declare if they have booze or smokes to CBSA for fear of getting in trouble let alone Covid symptoms...

I noticed the lack of eggs as well...
Thanks for reminding me, let me put that on my shopping list!
- buy live chickens.

Guns :ROFLMAO: ya just incase the walking dead want to harvest their healthy lung tissue.

One chicken gives you about an egg a day. Two chickens give you two per day. A chicken and a rooster give you an egg a day plus fresh meat in a couple of months. Chickens in the garden supply organic fertilizer and eat the bugs on the plants. Sounds like a plan.

Just watch out for bird flu.

It's not "people" plural. As I said before:

All it takes is one person.

I give credit to a lot of people not to park a truck full of fertilizer in front of a government building and blow it up.
But all it took was one person.

I give credit to plenty of people not to bring a rifle into a class in a Montreal university and kill 14 women.
But all it took was one person.

I give lots of credit to pretty much everyone not to behead a fellow passenger on a Greyhound bus to Winnipeg.
But all it took was one person.

So yeah, I feel that pretty much everyone would look at list on a website of people infected with COVID-19 and *NOT* go to their house and shoot them with a shotgun thinking they're going to save the kids.

But all it takes is one person.
Pretty sure one person could have infected a country. Is that death toll ok as long as we keep the name of a careless carrier private?

I’m good. The river in my back yard will be full of rainbows next week. I have 20 boxes of worms.

What you really want is a few rabbits - 300lbs of meat per female / yr.

bonus is you can throw their manure right on your garden. No composting needed.

Wife want to get a couple of laying hens seems ok but I don't want to deal with them. Lots of space also lots of foxes coyotes raccoons and skunks in the yard. Not to mention the dog.

This is reading like something out of Nazi-era poem:

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.

If the predictions are accurate, about 30-70% of the population will be infected.

Far more than can be kept track on a website listing names and addresses.

Right now, the usefulness of keeping track of the infected is to monitor the vectoring of the disease and alert those who don't know they have been unwittingly exposed. A lot of cases are self-reporting to help out. If people no longer feel safe because of vigilantes who wish to keep them in cages, then the self-reporting stops and so does the vectoring information, alerts and statistics.

You still haven't answered the question "What will you do if someone infected doesn't self-isolate to the degree that you will be satisfied with?" Right now, it is not illegal in Canada to leave the house if you are infected. If someone you know that is infected leaves the house, goes to fetch the mail, goes to the grocery store, what will you do? Call the police? They will do nothing.

What will you do to protect your kids and your family?

Went to check out a few more stores, Home Depot, Princess Auto, ValueMart, Copas, none had TP. Copas had water 24 case for $5.99. Held off for now. Maybe I will get use to tap water again. ?‍♂️.

The interesting remark was "you can't get on a plane to Canada if you are showing any symptoms but don't worry, Canada will pay to fly you back" wtf?

We are setting up special consultations with first nations to provide them support in the north? Frig me. They are isolated and safe, stop pandering and just leave them the f alone.

I watched press conferences with Douggie and JT. Douggie wasn't great, but everytime JT opens his mouth, you just want to punch him. What an ass.

It is a common tactic the stores are using, they're evidently smarter than the general populace, they got more stock, they wait for the idiots to come rushing in and try and hoard everything, once the shelves get empty, they pace themselves and put out more stock so more people can benefit and everyone gets what they need

You seem to need somebody to blame, so blame it on a Bat that flew out of Pandoras Cave then dropped dead from pneumonia where it was pecked at by chickens shortly before they were taken to market.

Costco in Nanaimo has plenty of tp today...according to my brother-in-law.
