Rules will eventually be thrown out the window as circumstances change, this is nothing new.

What rules! The government just hit reboot, new rules haven't even been imagined yet,
everybody go home kiss your dog (he has lungs too) and stay as healthy as you possibly can.

Minimum contact with people no restaurant or anything like that. Groceries pre ordered then put in the back of my truck by the store no going in the store. Loblaws offer this service free everyone should be using it.

still going to work tomorrow, they are prepping to send us to work from home but no ETA/decision yet.

the wife to be got told on Friday shes working from home for the next month.
 
Just had an interesting chat with the neighbour (mid 50s, immigrant, white collar work)...

‘I don’t give a **** about corona. If you have it I’ll still shake your hand, it’s all ******** government and media panic.’

I just politely refused to shake his hand and went on my way to grab dinner. More staff at the restaurant than patrons.

EDIT: oh ya.....and the US FED is taking rates to 0% in the morning....it’ll be a wild ride.

I am fighting that $hit right now... tricky at times to figure out if I have allergies, cold, the flu, or now CV-19! :ROFLMAO:

Well of course they can! good lord people this is an aggressive pulmonary virus and you could fit a million of them on one chunk of animal dander, if it has lungs it is a host or a potential victim.

I already work from home, self employed, but I am practicing no contact at the events I am at (no handshakes etc, or close talkers). Try to wash hands a couple of times during the time I am there. Socially I am just doing some isolation to see how this pans out. Also just waiting for a little better weather to spend more time out doors, so it's kinda convenient for now. ?‍♂️
 
Twitter (always reliable source of information) is convinced that a lockdown announcement is coming tomorrow.

I don’t think this is an Asian problem, Its a public health issue. The damn thing is spreading as infected people move thru the general population.

Sorry that I don’t have faith that infected people will heed their responsibility to self isolate. We know that screening is picking up sick people in the current hotspots, we also know sick people in several hot spots are being arrested for breaking isolation covenants.

regardless of where it started, it's everywhere
at this point it's not so much a case of the infected travelling

it's more of a concern with the un-infected picking it up somewhere in the community
and unknowingly passing it on to those most at risk of not being able to fight it off

as the bug has a known shelf life
the less shelves we put it on
and the less shelves we expose the vulnerable to
the better

it's math...it's always ******* math

A couple of years back the staff where my wife worked was notified that an unidentified employee had tested positive for a communicable disease. I can't recall which one. They have hundreds of employees and wouldn't even say what department was involved.
