I got tested for COVID-19 yesterday at the recommendation of my doctor. Test results in 5 days.

Symptoms so far:
Sore throat (1 month)
muscle pain (last 7 days)
Fatigue (2 weeks)
on and off fever (1 month)
Good. I hope the results come fast. Mine took over a week but I was stuck in a small town in BC that needed to send their tests to Vancouver. Actually I would've preferred to be tested positive so that I could know I went through it with minimal pain.

My test was brought on by a dry cough (typical every year for me) and a spiked fever to 38.9C or so that morning. Turns out it was just pneumonia.

Good luck.

I too was tested april 9th. wasn't really worried as Ive never had a fever. test results came in 4 days, negative.
ive had a chronic chest cold since early feb with a couple intermittent chest xrays since then.
I spend about 15 hours a week at grand river hospital, I believe thats why I was tested, for everyones safety.
I would say Im feeling better but I won't....cause every time I do my cough and sniffles get worse again lol.

News just out...30 day extension to the border closure has been reached.

How can you explain this one single case then? Huh? Mic drop!

Some people forget that correlation isn't causation. There's no proof that the med "made them better" as many people do that themselves. That statement makes as much sense as saying "I ate a ham sandwich while I was in the hospital, and then I got better, therefore clearly ham sandwiches are the cure to Covid19".

Hopefully that will be enough.

Doubt it. If I was a betting man I'd say it will be July or August before we see recreational travel reopened....IF they get their act together or things suddenly make a turn for the better.

And if I was willing to take a side bet, I'd say that there will be a conflict with the orange one over the reopening at some point.

I know many canadian snowbirds are planning on skipping next winter already. They anticipate insurance will have a covid exemption which will make travel impossible. Who knows how it will actually play out.

Or as Lisa and Homer discussed....

Gilead might have a drug to cure covid-19. Lets hope!

Treatment, not cure.

And it's still early.

Cautious optimism. Very cautious.

(Quote imported from one of the other 3000000000 Covid discussion threads right now...might as attempt to centralize things..)

The problem with most of the people saying that is they are referencing the politician as the authority not the (very often) reasonable doctor beside them.

I sure hope you're not one of those people running around claiming that this is all a big government hoax and coughing on things while yelling that there's nothing to worry about.

Here is your red-pill for the day, should you wish to consume it.

20,728 Canadians died in 2008 due to respiratory system diseases.

This single stat is important because....??
