NY is moving to everyone wearing masks as they begin restarting the new ‘normal’...

I’m on board. If you’re anywhere public then you wear a mask and you can’t enter facilities or any retail shops without one. My buddies just informed me that Poland is making masks mandatory as of tomorrow.

Might help.

YUP. Talked to my cousin about 30 min ago. They are mandatory as of now. They are already in the future. ;)

We haven't officially cancelled our September Deals Gap trip yet, but I have my doubts. I've still got a vacation to Spain/Portugal in the plans (September - rescheduled from late March) although I doubt that I will be going to WorldSBK in person at Portimao as planned. I'm beginning to suspect that in-person attendance at large sporting events of all types is finished until there is a vaccine. And that's if this season doesn't get cancelled entirely.

If international travel without a 2-week quarantine opens up by then, I'll still go.
i wouldn't even want to be in the US in september, you`re brave.

My efficiency went to **** but that is primarily the result of having to look after two needy monsters, it has nothing to do with working from home. The first video conference with the teachers was this morning. It went amazing /s. A 30 minute scheduled video turned into 60 minutes where we got through hello, count to 24, good bye. Hopefully soon they will figure out that trying to include the entire class of 4 and 5 years olds in a single video conference is a bad idea.

On a slight rant, all of these stupid video conferences being account locked is a nightmare. Tablet is logged into son's google account, apparently teachers granted permission to my account for some reason and he was being denied access. I can't add an adult account to a tablet setup for a child. For frogs snacks, if somebody has a username and password, just let them in. Did a zoom call with the inlaws last week (their choice for some unknown reason) and they sent link but not password (email appeared to be auto generated by zoom). Again, email account that link was sent to was not on device being used for the call. Typing in the link didn't work (they didn't limit their character set so it was probably an issue with 0/O or I/l in the hashed password). How hard would it be to qr code these stupid things? If someone can get a pic of code, they can get in.
My son is in grade 8, my daughter in grade 7. The first day "class" was held at 9 am. The second day they began class at 12pm, because .most of the class couldn't wake up and be ready at 9. Wtf!

Walmart still won't accept VISA (and won't get on the NFC bandwagon), but they're now accepting PayPal for online payments. SMH.

4928  Seems like a very high daily death rate for a country that is complaining about too many empty hospitals.

I don't get why school keeps bending over for low performers....

Just let them fail, it'll lower the bar for universities anyway and become beneficial for those who actually put in the effort and try in the long run too.

Agreed. Both of my kids were up at 7, wide awake and ready for "class" at 9. My daughter had her assignments complete and was on to other things within a couple hours. My son tried really hard to go back to gaming before the work but my wife wasn't allowing it.

If you're tired of sucking on the blue pill, get in here:

OAN?

Really?

I know that in the USA where even Fox News isn’t far enough hard left (and is just a little too based in actual reality) for a small segment of their population, OAN is popular. But outside that category OAN qualifies firmly as “batshit crazy”.

Seriously, do a little reading about OAN.

Wow.

Agreed. My buddy is a private school teacher and he said he just gives the kids 51% if they're about to fail. The paperwork, ********, and arguments with the principal and parents as to why their 30-50k tuition doesn't let their kids pass isn't worth it.

Intentionally political bias news reporting  those clever yanks, what will they think of next,
maybe stars and stripes surgical masks. Then rename them virus blockers ? so people actually believe they might stop something.
