Cops came looking for me...

RIP to little girl. Cops doing some cop work. thats all.
+1 on that Vik. Even though it was very annoying, i cant blame them. I mean sometimes they have no or a weak lead so they have to check. I prefer them checking than not giving a crap

Just for that, i have to put my own pic on here to defend myself. thats just mean lol. and maybe you should put yours ;)

Lmao, you first;)

You'd of received a good roughing if they caught you running.
Trust your gut. If you know you're clean and 100% legit, there shouldn't be anything to run from.

Good call on your part, and sad to hear about the victim of the murder. Hope they catch him.

+1 on not running. They WILL beat you down if you do.

I bought it off of this guy in north york. And they asked for his info too,

Crazy! Well I feel for the family's, I lost a child hood friend a few years ago and they still haven't caught the person(s) so I hope they catch the guy.

The story rings true to me. Not every bad thing happening makes the news. And, having seen how cops operate, that's exactly what I would expect patrol officers following up on general information would be doing - anyone that is close to matching the description of the perp is gonna get grilled. Lucky for the OP he wasn't arrested, put into the system and interrogated at the station. As it is, he's only in the system for having been detained and questioned so he doesn't have to disclose this incident when crossing the border.

Yup agreed on the part where not all crimes are reported in the news. It's not unusual - there are thousands of crimes committed in the city everyday. And it's likely in connection with the Uxbridge discovery. Good for you on trusting your judgement, OP. If you didn't do anything wrong, there's no reason for you to run from the police.

yeah, as soon as you said 18yr old and green kawi.. I thought of the Uxbridge murder. That killing was right up near that popular road where lots of people like to ride and drive. I was up in that area the morning of the discovery and there were police cars blocking that side road.

we dont hear about half the **** that happens in the city. ask your cop buddies

this is the realest statement on the bloody internet right now

+99999999999999999999!!!

Theres a rape a night on the weekend in the E district but putting that in the paper is bad for business and thats the one a night that gets reported....

Sexual assault is a vastly under-reported crime. According to Statistics Canada, only 6% of all sexual assaults are reported to police.
In one study, women gave the following reasons for not reporting incidents of sexual assault:

  • • belief that the police could do nothing about it (50% of women gave this reason);

    • concern about the attitude of both police and the courts toward sexual assault (44%);

    • fear of another assault by the offender (33%);

    • fear and shame (64%).

You do realize that reporting in newspapers and reporting to police are two different things, right?
