Re: Claton Rivert death and Questions Swirl around SIU investigation.

The flavour I'm picking up is that it doesn't matter, why are we even asking, the situation as it stands is the best we've got, citizen rider was speeding while member of blue line is member of blue line, officer presumed innocent, public opinion doesn't matter and what do we want.

Touche, and with that I bid this discussion adieu.

You're missing the part where it doesn't matter what the identities of the people involved are and that no matter who, the situation would be the same.

Are you saying that if the officer was speeding on the bike, and Mr. Rivet pulled out in front of him (no prejudice0 but in a way that resulted in the officer's death, there would be no charges laid?

Call me cynical but .....

You're not the only cynical one.

No, I was speaking with respect to what my conclusions would be about the event; unchanged. It would be pure speculation to say how things would go from a legal standpoint, if the situation was reversed.

Wrong

Where I said your wrong ?

Since you choose to be wilfully ignorant, let me point you at the precise statement.
