Civic vs. 600

I think the Honda guy is talking about a 600 Katana. Or an SV650.
Or a XT660 or some kind of slow 600cc bike.

No way in hell he's beating a 600 sport bike.
 
guys just out of curiousity, do you guys think if i got my launch down i could win. i have a FI CBR 1100 slammed and streached its running around 160 hp :?: if all goes well financially i hope to have 40 shot spray put on in the winter.

He thinks 160 hp is going to beat a bike that weighs nothing and has 120 hp?
 
no man im saying my bike runs like 160 hp. srry for the lack of clarity.
 
i've seen a civic hatch back beat a viper before in a race but I do not think that it could beat a SS bike 6 and up.....if he wants maybe i'll get my girlfriend to race her SiR against his hatch back :lol:
 
I forgot to say 1 thing. He was probably racing a katana or something all long the lines of that or racing someone who doesn't know how to race
 
you know i come to relize i hope for this dudes sake his car has balls cuz by the sounds of it ppl are pouring out of the woodwork to race this guy. and now hes gunna hafta put his money where his mouth is. :D
 
his name is matt, and him and i had a bet going on before, it took a lil bit to clear up, but he doesnt say it will beat all 600's he said that it has beat 600's and that in a 1/4 he will loose, but on the highway, say 120+ he says it will pull


either way i hate civic's and i hate the attitude that goes with the ppl who drive them..... but that being said... i believe from ppl i personally know, that his civic would give a 600 a good run for the money
 
I know a '93 civic owner/driver that has, and somewhat regularly, runs down 600s. He's also put it to a 929 twice, although I think the rider was a bit of a factor there. You have to remember, it doesn't matter what the bike will do..... It's what you, the rider, can do!!!

Oh, the car I'm talking about isn't 'force fed' and doesn't have nos....

see theres a good attitude. win some, loose some. there ain no reason.................infact i dun even know why we are getting upset...... guys its a civic , if were were talking about a lingenfelter Vette, or a Ruf porsche, or maybe a Hammond ferrari then yes you can debate it. unless this civic is running over 500 foot lbs torque i dont see how he is knocking the socks of motorcycles, i cant understand how when he is probably triple+ the weight of a bike. the math dont make sence.........and i suk at math. is anybody else on the same page as me. there is no telling what he has right now all we are going on is some legendary civic, which as far as im concerned is already an oxymoron.

+1....like i said..these guys are ALL TALK!!! esp if he is hanging out at a timmies trying to pick fights with bikes!!!..sure there are some tuned cars that can beat some bikes...does he have one? not likely...best thing to do is smoke em and shut his fackin mouth for good! Mitch id like to see you race him man, youd bloody smoke that punk with ur 1100...haha! id wanna see the look on his stupid face when he gets spanked too, hahaa!

grand national? must be GNX right? always heard they are fast stock... and crazy fast modded... :D gotta love ugly sleeper cars (to those who only knows imports, GNX has gotta look like a s.hit box to them)
 
I will only say one thing: never underestimate your opponent. There are 8 second FWD Civics around. And there are a surprising number of cars running the 9.90 index these days..

I agree with mitch_1100xx


but if anyone wants to race, I guess just go to the Toronto Street racing site or Toronto Civic club site and just post...but make sure and let us know if theres gonna be race cuz I would Love to see that...

just take an 04 gix1000, throw gix600 plastics on it (supposedly they bolt right on over) then go see what he says when he loses.
even if he is running a ton of power and torque, it all means nothing if you cant get it to the ground effectively. anyone can smoke their tires off the line, and contrary to f&f, burning off the line does not improve your time.
