Yeah but if we had a channel called "White Entertainment Television" there would be war over it.
Probably not, but a) nobody would deem that a profitable venture and b) white people are too politically correct to pull something like that
The worst part about this job posting is that this is still a requirement: white people really need NOT apply, its just that the words won't be explicitly stated again.
You have most of the other channels. So you can't really call all of them WET. I agree tho BET could of came up with a better name.

Not the first time a government job posting has had something along those lines. There were postings where they wouldn't let you apply if you weren't part of the 4 affirmative act.. I mean "employment equity" groups (female/disability/visible minority/aboriginal). Harper changed that so they can't stop those of us that are too white, healthy, European or vaginally-challenged from applying - so the applications just get quietly thrown out

Discrimination of any kind is not OK! Not to state the obvious but we all bleed red. One of the reasons I love riding. you don't know the colour of the rider under he's gear! No discrimination from the police because I'm a black man.
If you are more qualified than me then you should get the job I should not be considered over you because of the colour of my skin. What century are we living in people? The government is promoting continued discrimination by doing this and its wrong.

Hard to apply to Canada, but it certainly sheds light on European countries pushing multiculturalism through immigration policy. Its not as if whites are emigrating to shitholes in the middle east or Asia... but those folks are certainly immigrating to Europe. People there are becoming more and more vocal about it lately.
I don't have issues with multiculturalism. I actually like it and it's one of the reasons I'm glad I live in Canada. My issue is with discrimination, plain and simple. If the green hermaphrodite will do a better job than a purple chick or a maroon dude, guess whom I'd hire for the job. Job postings should be based on ability to do the work, not the person's gender/level of disability/ethnicity.

It should be based on ability and experience. But it's not.
The bar needs to be set as to what certain jobs require. One single rule for everyone.
I would hate to be trapped in a burning vehicle and see a 120lb female fire fighter coming to get me out, knowing she had to pass a lower physical standard than a male.
It shouldn't matter what's between the legs, skin colour or anything else.
But hey, maybe I'm just ****** because I'm a white Canadian dude.
If people want equality, then lets all be equal.
