I never use shift enter. Just a double enter. Muscle memory.
@Lightcycle I think you are experiencing a different issue.Do you use Shift-Enter instead of just Enter for your line breaks?
The fix posted on the xenforo board is a watchdog that restricts Shift-Enter:
I was PMing with @oioioioioioioioi last night and he figured out that if he used Enter instead of Shift-Enter then the problem goes away.

Have you tried doing shift+enter at least twice. To create an empty lineSo back to square one. I can't duplicate any sort of issue when using normal carriage-returns.
I think I see what is happening when I use shift-enter then type a character then backspace. Exactly the same thing happens with a normal single enter pressed. The editor assumes that by deleting the first character of a new paragraph, you want to back up into the end of the previous paragraph.
Shift-enter does nothing different for me than normal enter. It does not put a space between paragraphs, it does not have the effect of pressing carriage-return twice. Makes no difference.

Fixed, deleting last character on a line makes cursor jump to previous line with ENTER_BR config.
Have you tried shift + enter to create the empty line between your paragraphsI have spent a great deal of time looking into this. Until I can replicate the issue I'm not making a change to the website. I apologize for the frustration you are experiencing and I'm continuing to investigate.
Typing this message on my laptop, using the enter key as if I'm typing in a word document I'm getting the expected behaviour.
Working on it.From the changelog for froala editor: https://froala.com/wysiwyg-editor/changelog/
This was just fixed in the latest version 4.0.15 dated 8 days ago (Oct 13 2022)
Needs admin access to patch the editor.
Still happening on my end as well.Stiiiilllll happening.....
I'm honestly vising a lot less because it just drives me batty.
It would help if the venn diagram of "problem happens" and "capable of doing something about it" had non zero overlap...
