I have tried as well on multiple devices and same issue..
Yeah, it's defiantly a GTAM thing, not a browser or OS thing - I don't have this issue *anywhere* else....and I'm on a lot of forums and such.
I have tried as well on multiple devices and same issue..
test line 1Test line 1.
Test line 2 in which I pressed "backspace" partway through typing in this line. Nothing bad happened.
Test line 3 in which I type in the line up to this point then cursor back and press "backspace" to delete an extra character. Nothing bad happened.
What am I doing wrong?
Windows 11 + Firefox on a laptop
There's an app for that.Test test. On mobile.
Doesn’t happen on mobile. iPhone and safari.
But happens incessantly on my laptop at home. Still happening as of last night.
Seems to be a crapshoot who it’s effecting. But it’s infuriating as hell. I’m actually visiting the forum less right now as it’s maddening trying to participate.
@Lightcycle You should be automatically promoted to admin status just for looking into it and finding the solution.Found this:
Fixed - Editor: Backspace key unexpectedly deletes line-breaks above caret that were created using Shift+Enter
At the end of this line I'll hit Shift+Enter (not just Enter) twice to create two line-breaks. Now when I hit the delete key anywhere in this line here, one of the two line-breaks above is removed unexpectedly. It seems like Enter creates a new paragraph () whereas Shift+Enter creates a line...xenforo.com
Seems like something only an admin can fix.

I'm ok with that.LOL. Just thinking of all the havoc/mayhem/damage I could cause if I was given admin access...
The first thing I would do is install something like this on all the text input boxes on GTAM:
Pirate Monkeyness Insults and Translations
Insult like a pirate and translate English into Pirate.pirate.monkeyness.com
Except instead of pirate-speak, it would insert random puns into everyone's posts.
I never made any changed to my profile settings. .Wonder what's in their user profile that is giving them this problem? Have you guys ever changed your default editor back in the vBulletin days before the board moved to Xenforo? Perhaps something got screwed up in the user database migration?
I will try to create a new profile and try posting again and see if the issue persists.
Too late. When you do create a new profile, use the username, "sonnythebull".
It's kind of a tradition for any old user returning to GTAM under a different name.
I took your suggested from another post. lol
