Your country is nuts - It's like Quebec trying to separate but 1M times more complicated. They lose all the trade benefits of the EU but yet don't get all the racist benefits that most people won't say but are voting for which is the ability to close the boarder to immigrants which they can't do anyways

It will be completely nuts if England votes to leave and Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland vote to remain.

A Scottish friend of mine said a vote to leave the EU could inflame the Scottish independence movement with the understanding that they'd join the EU as a sovereign state.
 
Some news are reporting that brexit will pass. Good for them.

Although the vote has to be interpreted as an instruction to withdraw from the EU, it sounded in the early hours of Friday more like a howl of rage and frustration by one half of the country against the system of power, wealth and privilege perceived to be controlled by an elite residing, well, elsewhere. Westminster was the target as much as Brussels.

Glad to see this. The EU is a massively bureaucratic, over-governed mess that takes away a great deal of autonomy and sovereignty from member countries. Good for GB; hope she fares well.

there is also another good reason why the brexit happened. the eurozone wants to create a euro army to fight for nato. britain and its people dont want british soldiers fighting nato wars on behalf of the usa. which makes sense to why the UK decreased its fighting force to a tier 2 defence force. better than canadas canadian forces

cant wait to move there

NATO member obligations are separate from the bureaucratic millstone that is the EU.
 
I'm in our UK office in Soho at the moment. Most of our employees are in their 20's or early 30's and seem very pleased about the vote. I think it was mostly the 40-50 year olds that wanted to stay.

The market fluctuations will sort its self out in a few days, but if you have some spare cash there are some killer deals out there. I personally like Royal Dutch Shell and BP at the moment. Maybe Diageo and Caterpillar as well. The drop of the pound and euro against the $ makes them really tempting :)

I always liked Joseph P. Kennedy's approach to investing (although he was a person devoid of all morals). Seems like this would be a great market for him
 
I grew up 20 miles away from Southampton, nice part of England. If i was to move back it would be somewhere along the south coast like Southampton or Bournemouth.

Interesting that Birmingham one of the most diverse Cities in England also voted to leave. Spot the white man in Birmingham was a fun game to play, could take hours to win it.

Along the racial front it's a well known phenomena that immigrants like to shut the door behind them even harder than locals want to shut the door in the first place.
