Congrats !!!
Congrats !!!
Welcome and Congrats! see you on the road!
I am a cautious driver now in days and I am really don't plan to drive past my abilities which lets face it is at a "beginner" level. Once I get my bike I plan to stick to parking lots and back streets will minimal traffic for the first few days. Want to get used to the handling and breaking (and heaving breaking). I am in no rush to hit 165 this year..... maybe next year though. I will do some more reading on the different break in points of view.Good shot on the bike. I got a 2011 se, just street fighter-ed it. i weigh 250lbs it will show 165 on the needle, and turn on a dime at that speed. (not on a public street), stock except for the slip on. make sure you look up alternate ways of breaking the bike in. The key is regular oil changes and not letting it idle to long or stay at a constant rpm.
The only place this will get boring is on a straight road, and the argument can be made that all bikes will get boring at that point regardless of ccs.
Congrats ! RTI held a great course, did mine in Guelph. Can't recommend them enoughThank you, picking it up tomorrow insurance and everything taken care of. Any tips for us new drivers, i have ridden back home and been driving here for 15 yrs just no bike until tomorrow. Just passed my training at RTI over the weekend.
Congrats to you too it seems. Popular bikecongrats! me too! but i went for black- green is very bold though! enjoy
FWIW Legend, when I picked up my 2010 3 weeks back, it was in a plaza (4800 Sheppard East) and I was a bit nervous. Tried it in the parking lot and I was pleasantly surprised how easy a ride it was. Pulled out of there and rode it to Brampton.
I did that and drove it into a fence off the lot. combination of inexperience, fatugue, anger, and the jackass salesman leaving the choke on to high.

Hopefully I will fair a little better. I think I may just go in an get all the paperwork done tomorrow and then pick it up on Friday. That way I am relaxed and have the afternoon and evening to ease into things.
Will definitely be doing a lot of parking lot practice.
Oh, one step closer to the bike..... picked up insurance slip today, paid for the bike in full, ownership signed and have the attached pic items too. Tomorrow can't come soon enough
Do they only give you one key? I was a bit down cause my used one only had 1, but that would make me feel better haha.
